Best thing that can be done to avoid getting viruses are simple1> Stay away from non trusted websites like porn, warez etc2> Never open links sent to your through mail even though they are from your bestest best friend3>Never get pirated CDsThe motto of the thing is that play safe to be safe

No way. We cannot do anything to stop the viruses until we are on the internet.Maybe there is only one way to stop the coming more of them by using some of the Linux distributions.Linux is more secure operating system than Windows OS. Most of them (the viruses) are made for Windows and Linux is more secure "anti-virus" OS

We can do lots of thing to stop viruses.(windows)

Do not click randomly advertisement in websites.

Do not use warez, pirate, torrenz, porn, free full softwares, serial/keygen web search and downloading to computers.

Put good one antivirus program in computer. Update virus definition regularly (i.e. all virus definition are upto date.)

Also install good firewall and do not alow to that request which you don't know.

Don't use any crack softwares.

If you going to put External storage devices like pen drive. Scan it before use.( I think pen drive/flash drive is the most physical communicator for viruses)

Follow the steps and Enjoy the less virus computer (nearly virus free)
