What PHP Editors do you use?

I'm not using PHP yet, but I'm learning. And I searched for PHP editors in Google, and I found PHP Edit. Is that any good? The ratings look high And I think it's fairly new.

yea i use it....it's pretty good, except every time you type in a variable it pops up with all the variables in the whole page...and that can get annoying...but it can be disabled...

Actually looking back at the ratings, I found Crimson Editor has higher user ratings, except they say that it's not actually a PHP editor but a highlighter or something. Is that any different, or can you use it to code anyway? (Because it might be better than PHP Edit... )

i'm using Dreamweaver MXthats the easyest 1 i think.you can type something in thereand it wil find it for you.verry usefull!

When talking about php editor i think u have to use dreamweaver MX because it's help u in designing and coding to.But i still finding a goood php debuger which tell errors in code because it's better to point error in IDE which easy to debug the code .If anyone of u know php debuger then tell me please Every Single program has mistakes.

I use phpedit and it seems to be a pretty good program. It is similar to notepad but it has code browser to help you write functions.

using ultra edit, slightly better than notepad, its just another text editorphpedit is good, but still quite buggy and sometime the language is all mix up, like some error message not in english, although u install in englishi use dreamweaver mainly to make style sheet and choosing color

Notepad even though you have to have tremendous php scripting skills to use it practically...

I only use a text editor, and I don't have 'tremendous scripting skills'.The only useful features that I can see an editor offering are syntax highlighting/reference. Seems a little bit pointless in the scheme of things.

I always hand-code so Notepad is the natural choice B)Then I found EditPlus and have been using that since.
