mikeyboy63 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Many folks asking about best html editor available, and I notice nobody seems to know about MS Expression Web. It's very cool at designing standards compliant pages, CSS just drag and drop <divs>, it validates and highlights your errors in code view, etc. It's available as a free 3 month trial for download on Microsoft's website. Yes, I hate frontpage as much as anyone, but I lost my hardrive a few months ago in the middle of designing a site and lost my software, so NVU and Kompozer both act like frontpage putting garbage in your code and I stumbled across this program. It saved me and it works great. It's nothing like frontpage. Check it out.

oxida 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 I'll try this out, but for me it's probably will always be Dreamweaver.Dreamweaver is more powerfull than expression web. Altough i tried to make me familliar with Dreamweaver it was hard because I am used to notepad (++) and expression web for coding.

csp4.0 1 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 I have tried Microsoft's Expression Web. I never liked it. I never liked frontpage either. Sure the interface looked nice and all but it didn't do much to help me. Dreamweaver is better but in terms of price, expression web will probably be pretty good for those that prefer WYSIWYG (I think that's the acronym) editing. I don't like WYSIWYG editing, and so prefer Notepad++. I uninstalled Expression Web just the day after I got it.
kudmus 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I think I'll have to try it out but I have always believed a Microsoft tool is always the wrong tool for any job. The only things that I like from Microsoft are Office and XP SP3.I'm not sure but I think I'll just dump it in a week and go back to the good old Dreamweaver which I rarely use now because of it's limitations in PHP. ashrafulx11 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 I have the entire Expression Studio, and I like it, although I still prefer using Dreamweaver over Expression Web. Hoping to get the CS4 version when it comes out, I liked the beta version.
