That's very immature. Stealing revenue from another company is not right. Supporting and donating to private servers is stealing no matter how you look at it.

Deretto, please don't moan. Maplestory is a s*cking game which has way too much grinding in it, and all they try to do with private servers, is get the boring part out and bring the interesting part out more...  True, Maplestory has a TON of players, but at the same time, Nexon (Which stands for "Not Evil Xample of Nazis") does notice the amount of Private Servers that have been made, and right now the people from the Original Private Server (Odin) have been sued because they ignored the Cease and Desist letter. If you a C&D letter, GO BY IT! Don't just ignore it, because I know you can't pay for everything that has to happen, and once the servers you run on realize that 

1. You are illegally hosting a private server

2. That Nexon is Suing you.

You will be dropped from their system and they will claim to have nothing to do with it.

Dont play over crowded serversMaplestoryMost of you guys are right... Some servers wont get noticed because they arent crowded.If Millions of people play one server then maple will notice.. Enjoying the private serversMaplestory

I can see a lot of people are enjoying the Maplestory Private Servers, especially the ones with HIGH experience rate and the ones with NX(cash) usable. Meaning, you don't have to use your REAL money to buy the CASH in MapleStory. If the OLD Maplestory still continue their OLD way, I don't think they will survive for long, as you can see many people are having fun in Maplestory Private Servers while feeling bored in Nexon Maplestory.

I used to play maplestory until I got a good enough computer that can play world of warcraft, now i only play on Tuesdays.

odin getting suedMaplestory

guys the only reason odin got sued is because they didnt protect them selfs enough if they would of made a better T of S (terms of service) saying -if you  work for nexon or have any family members or friends who belong to nexon then you cannot enter the site... And -if you try to find any loop holes in the T of S is not aloud... Nexon wouldn't be able to sue them because odin could of sued nexon for not obeying the T of S so all in all its Odin's fault for not fully protecting them self

That is true but, according to Nexon Maplestory's Terms of Service, private servers are not allowed to exist.  I agree with you though.  They should have created a better Terms of Service.  Some private servers that have their own terms of service even put on this statement that you had to agree to before you could accept the ToS and enter the site.  If OdinMS had done this, they would not have been fined 350 million euros which is equivalent to almost half of a million dollars in USD terms (480k). Now OdinMS has a donation box on their website and the owners are probably pretty pissed.
