Be Patient! Teach With Gentleness! we are called to be patient

Recommended Posts

An atheist was teasing a Christian about his beliefs: "Come on, Andy," he said, "when you're up there, how are you ever going to get your SHIRT over those big WINGS?" "The same way," said Andy, "as you are going to get your TROUSERS over your TAIL, when you are down there."

It sounds funny but what could the atheist friend’s response have been? He didn’t expect such an answer. He thought he was just kidding his friend. But, when he heard this he was so shocked, and started thinking about the life after death over and over again, and very soon he committed his life to Christ and became a believer.

“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach … so that they may know the truth,”

says Paul to Timothy. (II Timothy 2:24) Though humor is not the apt way we should teach people about Christ, if Andy had retorted angrily to his friend’s remarks on the day he was provoked,
the friend would have been lost forever. But, his patience paid off. It is our responsibility to patiently and wisely approach people, and give them the Word of God. While writing a letter to Titus, Paul advises him to be

“hospitable,…,self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convince those who contradict.”

(Titus 1:8,9)

Dear friends, we are called to be patient and loving while spreading the gospel of Christ. We should be able to use the right words and the right method to draw those who contradict the Bible and our faith. For this, we need the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us ask Him to fill us and use us.

Everything happens on the right or say destined space and time. So, us breaking our head for someone not following certain path is useless. The main point is, how much I am on that path. Because the faster I walk on the path to God, the more patient I get with the things around me naturally. Since, I believe the path to God starts from knowing ourselves to reach the child within.-Shree

Well then again, they're both joking. It's factually inaccurate that people going to Heaven or Hell automatically get a wings or a tail. These two boys never did their bible study homework, did they?

Agreed, according to the bible demons and angels are both a separate species of sorts, they are not mortals who went to heaven or hell. Also they are THE SAME. The only difference is which side of the God/Lucifer battle they chose when Lucifer decided to rebel against God.

Also Demons are not the stereotypical cloven-hoofed, red skinned, pointy tailed, horned imps that are depicted in movies and the such. They are the EXACT SAME as angels and can change form to whatever they need to or wish to be.

Humans will always stay humans even after death. Exactly what any of them (humans, angels or demons) look like normally while just hanging out is debated and honestly we will never know till we get there.
