How We Could Become An Intergalactic Superpower Interesting to think about, eh?

Recommended Posts

An intergalactic superpower. We are so far from anything like that right now... But here is my plan of how it could become possible.Earth and it's inhabitants are on the brink of another world war already. Everything is collapsing, the economy of the United states, the resources of africa and such... Earth is close to reaching it's total population supporting level. we have 6 1/2 billion inhabitants now, the highest possible sustainable populaton being 8.5 billion. The world is currently in disarray, as world hunger is being brought on greater and greater in the places with high population growth because of failed economic resources. i say, if our world is to ever become organized and become an intergalactic superpower, that all must change. Here's how:the religious problems in the world are a great infulence on the economy, as resources from the middle east and western asia/eurasia are being cut off from the rest of the world. The united states is becoming too dependant on resources that are being depleted already. Europe and Australia are acually the most stable countries/regions in the world right now. Australia's resources for food are limited, as are europe's. Australia should be considered as a place to set up a new centrer of world goverment and power, while europe is changed to be a super-indeustrial region for a short period of time. Science needs to go into extremely heay research in the area of fast growing crops, and space travel research needs to be given unlimited resources.Earth first needs to solve world hunger if the fraction that is a thrid of it's population is ever going to become an economic strongpoint. once a way to grow food with some special gene or something is discovered, and enhanced to a dramatic point, world hunger would be solved. an example is this: a gen that will work for all plant life that could enhance it's growth by 10 times, and make it less reliant on water and minerals, but instead completely depend on energy, such as sunlight. Our resources for famring would be greatly enhanced this way, as places where rivers are dried up could become places of great culticvation and agriculture! with the nearly 2 billion people inm africa fed and added as a new economic force for production of resources, the economy of our world would increase nearly 30%.Next, there would need to be a year or so of financial freezing, as money would no longer be required in economy. a massive worldwide agreement to this would be needed, as no no money would be used to fund certain things, as people would be supported adequetly without them having to make money to get those things. the scientific programs could flourish, and with money problems out of the picture, resources for advancement would be unlimited. money would soon no longer be needed on our world, but instead trade would be used. international mass trade of goods. all people given equal support for themselves. this is still a slight problem, as crime and rebellion could arise form money no longer being used, as value of an object vcould be compromised. that problem would need to be solved somehow.but with this element of a new economic process, we could advance wour technology nearly 500% more than we have in the last century.after that, world peace would be achived, and everyone would have to agree to equalization, as opinions must be held back about beliefs and such to avoid disputes. all religions and beliefs would have to be considered equal, and disputes about which belief(s) are correct would have to be avoided, as that question would never be allowed to be asked again.this dea is far from what international martial law could do, and is much more effective.as space travel is mastered, mining operations on other planets could become established. first on the moon, and then mars. and then the asteroid belt of jupiter. the gases of jupiter and other gas panets could be siphoned for use to create oxygen, as it HAS BEEN PROVEN that any form of a state of matter can be transformed by mass transformation. such as turning deadly gases into oxygen, and turning acids into water! that possibility is proven, and can be done in mass quantities. siphoning such things from these massive gas giants such as juptiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune, could lend nearly unlimited resources for establishing colonies on other planets!imagine the possibilities! overlook the problems with this plan for now, they can be solved later.

I am guessing we've all had a relevant idea in our minds somewhere down the line. It sounds good on paper and it might as well be good in real life but the people are just not ready to do something like this, or even read this according to me. But the problems you've mentioned and uncountable ones most of us here would find out need to over-looked right here and right now.And it's basically based on the hypothesis that Science will be able to do certain things just with research. Nature has some restrictions my friend. Solar energy cannot be converted into water unless some alien stuff is present in the plant. And experimenting with it would kill the plants. We don't want all of them to die off on us just at one instant leaving us with no food for years, do we? We have to alter things in nature, which is I think a really bad idea. And maybe Science never reaches that level till we're "ready" for this as a population and world system.:)

Earth and it's inhabitants are on the brink of another world war already. Everything is collapsing, the economy of the United states, the resources of africa and such... Earth is close to reaching it's total population supporting level. we have 6 1/2 billion inhabitants now, the highest possible sustainable populaton being 8.5 billion. If you want us to stop reproducing, go talk to China. Did you know hat if everyone who LIVED in China (not born in) walked in a single file line besides you, the line would never end because they reproduce so fast?

Here's how:
the religious problems in the world are a great infulence on the economy, as resources from the middle east and western asia/eurasia are being cut off from the rest of the world. Science needs to go into extremely heay research in the area of fast growing crops, and space travel research needs to be given unlimited resources.

That has nothing to do with religion. Good luck with getting people to change their beliefs.

Earth first needs to solve world hunger if the fraction that is a thrid of it's population is ever going to become an economic strongpoint. once a way to grow food with some special gene or something is discovered, and enhanced to a dramatic point, world hunger would be solved. an example is this: a gen that will work for all plant life that could enhance it's growth by 10 times, and make it less reliant on water and minerals, but instead completely depend on energy, such as sunlight. Our resources for famring would be greatly enhanced this way, as places where rivers are dried up could become places of great culticvation and agriculture! with the nearly 2 billion people inm africa fed and added as a new economic force for production of resources, the economy of our world would increase nearly 30%.

That's physicly impossible. We're not going to make plants not depend on water and minerals. All living things on this planet require water. Your not going to find/engineer a gene that can do that.

Next, there would need to be a year or so of financial freezing, as money would no longer be required in economy. a massive worldwide agreement to this would be needed, as no no money would be used to fund certain things, as people would be supported adequetly without them having to make money to get those things. the scientific programs could flourish, and with money problems out of the picture, resources for advancement would be unlimited. money would soon no longer be needed on our world, but instead trade would be used. international mass trade of goods. all people given equal support for themselves. this is still a slight problem, as crime and rebellion could arise form money no longer being used, as value of an object vcould be compromised. that problem would need to be solved somehow.
but with this element of a new economic process, we could advance wour technology nearly 500% more than we have in the last century.

Good luck with that. You're not going to get anyone to work for free. You must have been raised on welfare or by communists.

after that, world peace would be achived, and everyone would have to agree to equalization, as opinions must be held back about beliefs and such to avoid disputes. all religions and beliefs would have to be considered equal, and disputes about which belief(s) are correct would have to be avoided, as that question would never be allowed to be asked again.
this dea is far from what international martial law could do, and is much more effective.

Okay, what kinda drug are you on??? It looks like acid to me. :) You're not going to get everyone to agree with something. There is always going to be that one person who can't keep his mouth shut. Besides, if this took place, the entire world would end up like North Korea.

as space travel is mastered, mining operations on other planets could become established. first on the moon, and then mars. and then the asteroid belt of jupiter. the gases of jupiter and other gas panets could be siphoned for use to create oxygen, as it HAS BEEN PROVEN that any form of a state of matter can be transformed by mass transformation. such as turning deadly gases into oxygen, and turning acids into water! that possibility is proven, and can be done in mass quantities. siphoning such things from these massive gas giants such as juptiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune, could lend nearly unlimited resources for establishing colonies on other planets!
imagine the possibilities! overlook the problems with this plan for now, they can be solved later.

Haha!!! I cant wait to see how many people are killed by Jupiter's RADIATION belt, and the ASTROID belt does NOT go around jupiter. it seperates the inner planets from the outer planets. And anyways, your working with extremely complex molocules here. And, by the way, the outer planets have such a strong gravitational pull, that you would not be able to leave once you got there.

And we are a long way away from terraforming.

So kid... Do you read a lot of comic books?

Have a look at this: https://www.thevenusproject.com/

Basically its a group dedicated to achieving some of the things you have mentioned here, but they "mostly" know what they are talking about and have experts involved. An interesting read but even that is a little far fetched from ever happening.

All we need is Dark Vader a little "enerjon cubes" not sure about the spelling and we can invade the closes star system I think its called Orion system. Any way there's this show on the Discovery Channel that teaches or at least show realizable theories on how to make Super Cool Science fiction movie gadgets like the Star destroyer and even a time machine. Imagine if we can make one of those it would be a much more exiting everything

Oh. I remember a similar discussion about Humans reaching Intergalactic civilization. It was discussed by theoritical physicist, Michio Kaku. Apparently, Civilizations are classified mainly on its energy source. From what I understand, scientists differentiates civilizations into three types: Type 1: Planetary Civilizations: Civilizations that can control everything within a planet (the weather, earthquakes, etc.). They harness the planet's energy to its full potential. Type 1 civilizations has a single youth culture, run by a central government, one primary language, etc..Type 2: Stellar Civilizations: They've exhausted the energy of the planet so they harness their energy directly from the mother star. They use the power of the sun itself to energize their machines. Eventually, they use up the energy of the star. Considered immortal. Nothing known to science can destroy a Type 2 civilization. They can move their home planet or control a supernova. (Star Trek)Type 3: Galactic Civilization: They harness the power of billions of stars within a galaxy. Will have the ability to control the fate of a galaxy. (The Empire)According to them, we are still Type 0 (not on the rate). We obtain our energy from dead plants, oil and coal. And they think that we will reach Type in a century. Sings of a type 1 civilization is the Internet (Central form of communication), European Union to oppose NasDaq (Type 1 Economy - huge planetary trading blocks), English (Probable Type 1 Language), Holywood, Rock n Roll, Rap Music (Type 1 Culture). Hence, we're still on the brink of the transition. They think that the transition from Type 0 to Type 1 is the most dangerous. It's integration versus WMDs, terrorisms, and other obstacles that hinders the integration of our multicultured planet. So it seems that becoming a Type 3 civilization (galactic) will require more. Much much more.
