jlhaslip 4 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 Your web Hosting Account already tracks users, their IP's, which files they accessed, and a whole lot more information. Can you use that information to do what you want?
Tetraca 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 If you're talking about a torrent tracking mod, I have no idea of where to find one. Usually people use dedicated servers and C based CMSes for the big torrent trackers.

cdkonline 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2008 There are at least 2 Trackers made for IPB forums. One integrates very well and was a great cutting edge tracker released in 2006. It used XBT as it's backend but the 2 people who wrote the code had "issues" and started getting it in their minds that they wanted the best for themselves and it became very difficult to get support and all of the newest features and suggestions added were kept for themselves and not released. As can happen with potentially decent software releases either greed or pride will interfere and rather than becoming well known as a successful new Mod for IPB they ended up becoming their own worst enemy. Sure, the software is still out there but now lacks the following and the supporters who donated much during it's creation. My forum had to donate in order to be considered as one of the people the tracker was being released to. (it was a beta for a very long time but mostly because nothing was done for a very long time. It was a mess dealing with the people. The software itself was GREAT! And I wish it had been pursued on the same level as it was in the beginning. Were that the case we'd all be using it by now, or at least file sharing sites or sites that want to make large files available for whatever purpose they deal with.LAST POINT:There are other versions out now. People saw it was done, were inspired to make their own and there ARE other similar trackers available. I know of 2 (in addition to the original one) and have heard of still others. If you're still interested, knowing this thread was dated 2007 and it's almost the end of 2008, post and I will look for the URL's of the 2 I know of. It's been a while since I have looked but they are out there still. One person I know gets active support still which tells me it's a going concern and I may just look into it again myself. cdkonline

-Sky- 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2009 IP.Tracker is called and stands for "InvisionPower.Tracker". IP.Tracker is our bug/issue tracking component for IP.Board that allows members of your site to track issues, for example, bugs within a project you are working on, IP.Tracker organises your development needs and allows users to keep up-to-date with what is happening. IP.Tracker supports RSS feeds for both categories and statuses so developers can easily stay up-to-date on new issues.IP.Tracker is very useful to track down those bugs/issues of users. It allows users to submit an issue and is more help for Admins to troubleshoot problems on IP.Board forums.I am a member of IPS, and Invisionize, etc and other resource sites for IP.Board. I give help & support to active licensed IPS Customers only. If you need any help with any IP.Board 2.x mods please PM me or email me on this email: kel_myster09@live.co.uk. -Sky
cdkonline 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Hello cdkOnline, could u please forward the link to trackers ? There are so many now... here is one that uses XBT as the backend, and I am adding another site that with a forum you might like too. It has many other tracker options and people willing to help you customize one. Many are on Sourceforge and opensource. there's a lot of good info on filesoup. Also, there are trackers for other forum software too but definitely several for IPB and many use XBT. And of course you'll have to register as a member to get full access. Here are the two links, you can go from there... I can't remember if external live links are allowed here so I put them in a code box. ipbtracker.eu/ http://filesoup.com/forum Enjoy! cdkonline Edited January 17, 2009 by cdkonline (see edit history)
