How Do You Hide Your Ip Address?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to hide their IP address. I have this problem because I just screwed up my hosting account's Cpanel and the site does'nt seem to work properly (not Xisto). I wanted to sign-up for a hosting account again and start all over again. Now there is a problem in signing up. They say I have already signed up using my IP address once and it wont let me have another account. I need to hide my IP address and fool that system. So does anyone know a free IP address tool that will hide my IP address or atleast make me anonymous? Make sure its a freeware, I really dont want to purchase do I want any shareware/trial/demo.

Today it is really easy to switch or hide you ip. Depending what you want to do. If you jsut want to hide your IP while surfing the internet I would suggest some of the sites or proxies servers and there is hall bunch of those on the internet. And as you asked for free tool I would suggest torpark which in fact routes you trough several proxy servers and makes your ip untracable so actually no one can trace you to your home adress after you log offf once. And did I say it is FREE.However, it is a bit slow but allows cookies passing. And if you don't need cookies passing then I would suggest using some of the sites speciallt designed for anonymus surfing just type in google annonymus surfing and you will get extensive list of good sites of annonymus surfing over internet. And if you need just to change you ip then just log off that is disconnect from your connection and then reconnect it will and should change you ip address if you hvae dynamic if it is static then this option want work.

Don't try to hide your ISP number. You'll get in trouble with computers and stuff and if you already screwed up with something it;s your fault, don;t try to fool the system. Very complicated stuff - also very hard to hide your ISP number. (You can do it with PHP)

I was wandering who to hide you IP with php. Could you please elaborate this.

Because php is server side scripting language I don't see the way how is this possible.

Yeah, yo can get in quite a bit of trouble if you try to hide your IP. Your ISP will be on your tail, Web-sites will be on your tail, And both may just delete their services to you because of this.

You can't 100% hide your IP. It's quite impossible with how the internet works. You can hide from one server by proxy, but that proxy server will know your IP.

No one knows my IP, because even the best IP detection programs i.e. RapidShare can't detect my real IP, they only detect my ISP's IP wich sucks because when i only download like 15MBs from Rapidshare and someone else downloads 400MBs the connection to rapidhare won't work because where using the same ISP

Well in fact you can hide you're IP so noone else finds out in fact you use software called torpark which uses several proxies and trough which you route to your site or whereever you want to go on the internet. I know for certain that they are not able to trace this program because of the scandal including child pornography which some people exchanged over the internet using this software that's why some servers are even banning this service if they sucede to found out that you have routed to thier site using torpark network. And proxies are regulary refreshed so noone cannot in real timely manner find out your real ip address.

As previousely stated, it's quite impossible to truely hide your IP... Internet just works that way, that your IP is ALWAYS present SOMEWHERE... If you go trough 5 proxies, first proxy you go trough, WILL have your IP address... And most proxies do keep logs now days, truely annonimous services are very very rare...And if you have a legit hosting, why not just contact technical support, and have them fix that? Or you breached some rules of that company's hosting? All in all, if they detect you are using a proxy, they WILL find you, it's only a matter of time, and they WILL contact your ISP, with all the details, and that ISP may choose to stop providing any services to you... And somepne may even press charges against you...What you described when using RapidShare, is called NAT... Name Address Translation... Many ISP's choose this option, to minimize IP address usage... Certain numebr of users is hidden behind a certain type of router, maybe even a proxy of a sort, and all users behind it, have the same PUBLIC IP address... But again, that IP CAN be traced back to your PRIVATE IP address...When we sum all that up, you can't successfully hide your IP, due to a fact that it MUST be known to in order for you to receive packets... I wouldn't suggest you trying to fool the system...

No matter what you do someone can trace your ip address even if you use proxies, etc. The thing is that these just make it much harder to do so. If the government or any other powerful agency wants your IP address, they will be able to get it since all the proxies make logs and track users through their system. You never can be completely anonamous but you can be close using software that has already been stated in this discussion.

Well as far as I know torpark really hides your ip as I know for the affair when they firstly released it some b@stards have used it to exchange pornography and web cops were not able to trace them trough torpark network. However it is quite slow today for any hacks if you would like to perform and you will probably use it only when entering some system you would like to fool. Also I would like to make difference with tracing IP and IP hiding these are two different concepts one is releated to the process of backtracing connection after it has been broken and other is related to the hiding your true ip from the source you have connected to.
