Changing Index\main Page [resolved] The default index wont go away

My default index from Xisto wont go away.I went to file manager and replaced the index.html file with my own index.html, but the main page wont change. What am I doing wrong?

Ok I see what I did wrong. I didn't put it into the public_html. But now another problem. When i press public_html there is no option that say: "Open folder" or sometthing like that. how do i access the folder?

If you click on the folder icon to the left of the text public_html rather than the actual text itself, then it will open.

if you want it deleted go to your cpanel and then click file manager once, there you may go to public_html folder and once there click the name which says index.php and click delete
