SamiFX 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 I were using Kaspersky for 2 years ago but now I changed to Avast Antivirus and I recommand you to use it cause I think it assembles the Kaspersky, Avg and Norton databases in his database, more then that it's free, yes. the Avast antivirus home edition is free now after registration they will send you a 1 year valid key and after one year you just re-registre to get another year validation key Click Here to register
CrazyRob 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 Ive been using Avast Home for a while now. On XP it can take a while to load up causing your other programs to load slower and it also uses up quite a lot RAM and CPU. However for those of you who have vista id recommend getting Avast Home because i think it runs faster and also does not slow down your system.
Abhay 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 I had used Norton Pc-Cillin and AVG antivirus and from a long time i am using avg free edition it is really good. It not heavy or resource hungry like norton and its updates are also available daily.I am fully satisfied with AVG. As you had said that Avast assembles the database of kaspersky, avg and norton is it true? If yes then i will definitely try it.

fffanatics 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 I have been using avast for a very long while now. First of all, in XP it does not use much RAM or CPU at all. The amount it uses is much less than McAfee and Nortons and it does just as good of a job. I strongly recommend it and so does where i work. Finally, it runs just as well on Vista and i have yet to have an error with it on that OS.
