Brick Walls

Recommended Posts

I hate this state of walls these days, back in mediaval times in china they built the great wall of china with exellent worksmanship. It maaged to keep the mongolians out for years and withstood wheather, wind and Isosoclese triangles. These days brick walls are constructed under poor workers whom are not chinese and are being paid minumum wage for such things. These walls often fall down and are not very good at keeping things out. Whats the piont of a wall? many ask this question and for years it has been debated, what do you think? are they used for keeping things out, OR keeping things in??

Well if you are complaining about the state of the walls in your area, why not complain to the council? Walls are there to enclose things, aren't they? Keep things in and keep other things out. Without walls, well just picture it, what would it be like? A house without no walls, you'll be sleeping in the street.

now in days the only walls you really here are about are prison walls and of course they try to keep things in but every now and then they get out and very rare any one really trying to get in. but on your point of view, I also believe that the quality of these walls has definately gone down, and its not necessairly the people building it. It more of the people they are working for. Back then they were not worried about getting paid whle building the wall of china they were trying to protect themselves. Now people or lets say big companies pay the cheapest contract company to build up a wall, so they are not so much into the best quality but more into the faster the better..

wall of china was built by slaves, that is why they didn't worry about getting paid. it is made of stone not bricks...every country or region has a tradition in building walls of some sort of material, from stone walls, concrete walls, brick walls, wooden walls and even walls made of paper in high earthquake areas.if you want a good and solid wall you are probably going to need to pay a good and solid amount of money. Reason why todays walls are bad (except if they are really old) is that price for making those walls wasn't fair so it were build at high speeds/low quality ratio..Like everywhere else i guess, you have to pay some fine cash in order to get some quality work...

well, the chinese thought of the plan well. but it took them a lot of years to build that. did you know that the walls were actually hollow? in order to fill that up, they piled the dead bodies of the slaves that worked to built the wall. the material used in making the wall is also considered. take for example another structure, like bridges. in order to withstand the pressures of nature, the materials used to build that are specifically targeted to prevent the natural calamities to destroy the bridge. that's the same with the wall. the foundation is taken into consideration so the output would yield a strong wall.

walls are usually used to keep things out. in this way, the outside forces won't affect those that are protected by the wall. but you can also consider the opposite side, the wall can also keep things in. this usually means storing, but it also implies that by storing, you keep the outside forces from damaging the items stored beyond the wall.
