Where You From?

Recommended Posts

Born in Australia, with filipino blood into me, as both by parents were from different parts of the philippines. Yet I have relatives all over parts of Asia, and the USA/Canada. So at least that way I save on accom costs in the case of hols :)

I am a caucasian that is born and raised in Yorba Linda, California which is in Orange County "OC". :) But currently am in Houston, Texas. :) I will go back to California this week. :P I miss that place already. It's such a great place to live.

I'm also from Orange County, California and living in Texas now!

Different places, though. I grew up in Huntington Beach and I now live near Austin.

As far as family history goes- I know there's German and Swiss in my family, but my family has been in the united states for so long (I'm one eighth native american, so I guess thats a really long time) that we don't really identify with any of our ansectoral homelands.

oh... i didn't know that. but it's a good thing in some way. at least they prioritize their own people first. they wouldn't feel alienated in their own land and at least they won't develop colonial mentality. please don't take this as an offense. it's not against you or anything at all.

I was born in Birmingham, England, and have lived here for my entire life. I really do love my country, although I would love to visit America as I've never been and England can get pretty boring sometimes, especially as it almost always rains in the winter and I'd love it to snow at least one Christmas. One good thing though is that we get Harry potter books before you guys

Well, I'll add my 2 cents here, please try to follow :blink:I was born in SFRJ, Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia... And lived there for about 10 years... Then I lived in SRJ, Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia for several years, then I lived in SRJ, umm.. I guess the best way to translate would be Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, again for several years... Then it was Serbia and Montenegro for few years, and now it's Serbia... I lived in all these countries, without ever leaving my himetown :wacko:It's a pretty crappy country, with bunch of right-wing radicals and xenophobes, and they really mess it up for about 20% of normal people, who just want to live with everyone in peace... I come from northern province of Vojvodina, which is the best example of multi culturalism in Europe... We have 7 official languages, and god knows how many ethnic comunities (Hungarians, Romanians, Slovaks, Croatians, and tons more)... We work the most, we fill approximately 40% to 60% (depending on a yeaar, people in Vojvodina are mainly growing wheat, corn... We are mostly agricultural region) of the countries budget, but we receive back only 7% of that money... Kind of sucks... We have the highest prices, everyone thinks we have it going easy, and just harass us... But, it's an imperfect world ;)Politics aside, it's a nice country, Serbia, we have nice mountains, nice lakes, rivers... I'm biased towards my own province, we have beautifull vast plains, one tiny mountain, few lakes... All covered in green ;)You should come and visit, you're all invited :D
