Dagoth Nereviar 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 http://www.ebaumsworld.com/user/profile/videos/My friend just sent me that link via MSN, and I just had to show it. It's amazing! It's a bird that mimics the sounds of other animals in the jungle, but then it goes to do a camera, chainsaw and car alarm! What an amazing bird! (Thanks to Big T for showing me it )
Avalon 1 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 The bird in the video is called a Lyrebird, it is native to Australia and are often found in bushland close to where I live. Some people think it is called a Lyrebird because of it's ability to mimic other sounds, i.e. the bird is a 'liar' because it's not really what make the sounds of. The truth is, it is called a Lyrebird because of the shape of its tail. If you're really interested, you can find some more information here.
