AnGeL KiSS 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 So yesterday was my last day of school and it was NOT the best. It was the worst day of my life.. I graduated yesterday (nope not from HS im young rite? yeaa lol) and it wasn't my lucky day... so we were lining up for graduation and all and then my stomach hurted. I told this girl Lila (my so called friend but she is just soo weird...) and then she just looked away (she didn't care.) So then when we were lining up and walking slowly into the auditorium, I was fine until we sat down ON the stage. A few minutes later, my stomach hurted ALOTT. While we sang the Hero song by Mariah Carey, people started lining up to walk down to give flowers to their parents. My stomach hurted so much I started sweating (ewww) and it wasn't that hot there.. =[ When it was our turn, I didn't want to go because I felt weak. But I knew people behind me would push me and tell me to go... so I walked down the stairs and while walking up outside to the hallway (I didn't know where my mom was) And everything just went blurry and then I fell to the floor. I was so close to fainting, the hospital came and wanted to take my sugar pressure or something? My mom didn't want them to, neither did I want a needle going into my wrist -.- So I was realllyy heating when I fell to the floor and they gave me water and I felt a little better.. there were a bunch of people around me trying to help me So then they asked me alot of questions, Did I eat this morning, What I ate this morning, What was hurting, What part of my tummy hurted, Do I want to take the sugar pressure thing, and I forgot the rest.. and I was WEAK. I couldn't walk up the stairs or walk down the stair case without someone escorting me with their arm. Mrs. Lee is so nice. My teacher Mr. Gomez is too.. everyone thinks hes soo retarded because he makes things such a big deal but if you get to know him a little better hes not that bad.. and I think I'm going to MISS my schoollllllll. But I'm okay. My stomach kind of feels bloated, like when you have "air" in your stomach? I have no idea how to explain how it feels right now. I kind of hear my stomach growling I didn't eat breakfast yet.. but I don't feel it.. =/ I'm sure it'll go away in a few days though..... hmphh. :[

Kubi 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Ohh, I know what happened. Well you most likely didn't eat in the morning. I suppose the pain was from your stomach fluids, if you go days without eating, those fluids can seriously "burn" a hole in your stomach. And if you did eat, you probably ate stale food. That must have been bad, on graduation too.(I'm moving this to the vent)
Togi 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I used to get that regularly, if I ate junk food for breakfast. Wake up late, eat a twinkie on the way to school.. get sick and pass out around 2nd hour. But then I started eating better (grab a bagel, instead XD).. and that doesn't really happen anymore ^^

brainless 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 (edited) at least you made a scene out of your graduation which people will remember I'm sorry to hear this ... if it wasn't something more serious, I'd guess you didn't eat/didn't eat much that morning and your blood sugar was very low (though most people can stand going without breakfast for a couple of hours - excitement coupled with skipping the last two meals would probably make many people pass out) or for some other reason your blood circulation was disturbed (something similar to your description happened to me in my last term in school ... in mid-winter, I've been to school in rather light clothing and on the bus home, I was suddenly sweating all over the place and had troubles staying on my feet; half an hour and half a bottle of water later I was alright again...)togi: that's why it's called "Junk Food" [edit]oh, by the way, the paramedics were probably going to measure your blood sugar level (i.e. the concentration of sugar in your blood. A digital device to measure this should display something between 100 and 120 ([mg per liter?] slight deviations above and below are ok); an "analog" thing should display something around the middle of its scale. Even though it hurts a bit when the needle's tip is shot into your finger, it doesn't really bleed (most people lose 1-4 drops of blood; 1 is enough for a quite accurate result)......but if they were going to stick something into your wrist, they probably had other plans, something like an infusion (quite a radical solution if it was about the blood sugar. Water with lots of sugar in it [Coca-Cola products - Coke, Sprite, Fanta: about 36 standard cubes of sugar per litre -- but forget about the "light" stuff to increase someone's sugar level] or other sugared stuff injected orally [i.e. drunk/eaten ] could have done the job as well, usually... WarFact 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Our last day of school was in May. I'm currently about halfway through summer school getting my credits that I don't have room in my schedule for. That sounds like you have a pretty awful day, though. I've only come close to fainting once in my life, and that was when my baseball team was playing to go to Williamsport when I was 12. But that's beside the fact. LoLI also still have 2 years left before I graduate. I'm taking Honors AP Chemistry this next upcoming year and i'm a little intimidated. But oh well. Gyad 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 That sorta happens to me a lot too, especially during times like that. It doesn't feel good at all. It's like everytime I try to have fun or enjoy my time, something bad happens and wants to ruin it. It's like trying to go to a party while having a knife in your stomach. You can't tell anyone, nor do you want to make look like something is wrong with you, but you still have to endure the pain for hours. My Junior High Prom was just like that. I barely ate the food they had at the party, and my friends were all like "What's up man, you're not eating?"I couldn't bare to tell them that something was wrong.
