iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 How to make CS maps Counter-strike Model Maker Please excuse the really long directions. For CS:Source: For this you will need to have Steam installed and a Steam account(free). If you don't go to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and follow the directions to install it. Once you have Steam successfully installed on your computer create a Steam account if you don't have one. Once you have an account open up Steam and go to the tab labeled tools. There you will see an application called "Source SDK", install it. Once it's installed run it. There is the program for making CS:S maps(for tutorials on how to use it go to Youtube) For CS:1.6: YOU DO NOT NEED STEAM FOR THIS VERSION. Go to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and follow the installation instructions. INSTALLING IT TO C:TEMP IS A GOOD IDEA. After the program installs go to C:Temp(or wherever you installed to) and open the folder named "Valve Hammer Editor" and then open Hammer Editor(keep the Hammer folder open). After you've opened it close it again and go to the folder. Double click the item named "texturefix.Reg". If it asks you for some kind of conformation just say yes(it's safe). This file makes the wide range of textures in the program available for use(without them the program doesn't run). After this open Hammer Editor again. If you followed the steps correctly and have sufficient administrator rights; you should now be able to make maps for both CS:S and CS:1.6 Questions: E-mail me at mr.Sitamanto at gmail.Com -reply by [CCE]ASDF
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Replying to w0rSt_FuSi0nIf you have css there is a programme that comes with it and it lets you creat maps for that perticular game , you can find it in you tools in the steam main menu. If you don't have css I think you have to download a programme for creating maps for cs: cz. Tell me if you find a programme and tell me were to get it.-reply by Jaosn
