psychiccyberfreak 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Hi, if I were to swich to Xisto - Web Hosting for paid hosting, can they transfer all my settings and files and databases from Xisto to Xisto - Web Hosting, or do I have to do it myself? Thanks
BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 You can perform the migration of files yourself. Your individual files and relative links must be changed if you used, for example, <a href="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ of [html]<a href="directory/file"> those need to be changed to new hosting server's address (Xisto - Web Hosting.com).Database can be backed up and downloaded as compressed file. Then uploaded and uncompressed using your cPanel or database manager. It would also be easier if you have exact copies of your page files in your local drive as well. You can then zip all of them and upload it as one single file, use cPanel to unzip and you're done.

psychiccyberfreak 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2006 ok, thanks. The one thing that I do have to do is re-set up my domain name, so instead of a parked domain it is my main domain. Should I put that in the notes section too, or do I set it up with application?
