lecius 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2005 Well my game is in the making and it has been for atleast a year. We currently have about 30 people working on the game day and night. We are currently looking for more help in our game and you might be what we need - We need a few programmers that know c++ realyl well to program some codes in the game.- We need some artists because me and my friend are not the best and we need to get some sprites made.- A few website theme creators would be great because I am not going to be good at making a them for a website.- Some moderators for our forum we will need after the site is released.- Some admins for the forum once it is released- Game masters for the game once it is released (must be ready to help anyone and not be mean unless needed two, must learn all the commands in one week)- Music, we need people to make music for our game- Voice actors are needed so we can broadcast stuff in game using someone's voice, or just have recordings playing over and over.If you would like to apply for any of these positions please PM me and we will discuss it further on msn or aim. Thank you and have a nice day
switch 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2005 Firstly congratulations that you have such a huge game operation happening, although I must ask, if you have 30 people working on it already, surely some of them can handle that sort of stuff, especially the simple things like voice acting. Not saying i know a lot about making games, but my advice is:When making a game, it is best to have the people physically there in the room with you for stuff like coding / artistry / website design and everything else. It gives you a much better way of communicating and expressing your ideas, which means you can work together better. It's very hard doing any kind of major project over the Internet, let alone something as full-scale as what you're talking about. Possible, but difficult. Maybe you should find a couple of people in your town/area who are keen to make a game to work with you.If any of your coders have any trouble with C++, i know a bit about it myself (and somebody called mamasoap is brilliant at it): post in the Computers->Programming Languages->C/C++ forum. Also there's some great sprites available all over the Internet- Google Search should provide you with some results.Good Luck mate and all the best.cheers

Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2005 I started working on the basic content of a game once. Started creating characters, and enemies, had a map drawn out and everything. Once summer came though we sort of quit. I have no idea what I would be doing anyway. I would help but what kind of game is it? I would help in the forums and stuff but I don't know if I would if I didn't like the type of game.
