my favorite card game is texas holdem poker. every friday night me, my brother, and my next door neighbor play for money. I hardly win but its still fun to play and the game is cool.another favorite game is 7 card stud because the cards only you can see can help you win and i always win on that games.thats all

I have three which come pretty close...Stripjack, Blackjack and Presidents and Scumb-bags. Following closely after that is, of course, Poker. In my form class at high school we played cards every morning...ahh the memories

I don't really know the english names of my favourite games, I only know them under the names Romm? and Skat, and I also like UNO.And sometimes I also like to play solitaire and freecell on the computer.

My favourite card games would be. BlackJack I like playing this card game in Casino's always alot of fun getting that famous 21 hander. And I like to play crazy eights I like making people pick up alot of cards when I put down the queen of spades or put down enough 2's to make them pick up alot of cards. And I like to play Cribs as well. I almost always win against my mom and I've even Skunked her alot of times. Hy. I don`t have any favorite card game, cause I don`t like to play it, and I don`t know it too. When I have infor classes usually I play solitare. That is the most popular game in our class. I know, it`s a very stupid game, but for us it`s great :DMaybe the online games in Windows, are interestings too, but sometimes I get a partner with high skills, and unfortunately I lost that game, and |I became sad Mostly I like the action games. It would probably be a tie between Rummy, Gin and Egyptian Rat Screw.

 

Most people probably know what Rummy and Gin are but I will explain Egyptian Rat Screw (or Egyptian Rat [expletive deleted] as we call it around here).

 

Players: 1 deck : 2-3 players (any more players and you should add a 2nd deck)

Objective: Collect all of the cards.

The Deal: Each player gets an equal portion of the deck, all cards are dealt out (make sure no jokers are in the deck). Cards must remain face-down in a pile for the player to draw from.

The Turn: The first player takes the top card from their face down pile and places it face up in the middle of the table (the object is for no one to see the card until your hand is away from it.. including you). Then each player follows in a counter-clockwise sequence.

Winning: As stated, the object is to get all the cards. There are a couple of ways to do that. We'll start with the first:

--Doubles: When 2 people in a row play the same card, any player may "slap" for it, meaning whoever's hand is on top of the doubles when the hands stop slapping gets to pick them up (ex: two queens are played in a row by player 1 and 2 and player 3 slaps the doubles and picks up the whole pile).

--Face Cards: Now, when you put down a face card, the next player has a certain amount of chances to put down another face card or whoever put down the last face card wins the pile. The number of chances are based on the face card:

Jack - 1 chance

Queen - 2 chances

King - 3 chances

Ace - 4 chances (Yes, I know it's not a face-card)

(ex: Player 2 plays a King.. Player 3 puts down a 2 and then a Queen.. so Player 4 now has 2 chances to get a face card or player 3 gets the pile).

That's basically all there is to it. Keep doing all of that until you have all the cards and you're set. There's other little house rules and such that people like to add sometimes, here's a couple:

- Sandwiches: This happens when the 2 cards in a row are seperated by another card, thus making a sandwich that you can slap on to pick up the pile. (ex: Player 1 lays down a 4.. player 2 lays down a queen.. player 3 lays down a 4.. player 1 spots the sandwich and slaps the pile and picks it up)

 

- Slap-ins: When you go out of the game (lose all of your cards), sometimes you are allowed to slap back in. Meaning, you basically just sit there and watch for doubles (or sandwiches if you're using them) and slap the pile to get back in the game.

I've spent hours and hours playing 1 single game of that. Coming back from 1 card and winning.. it's a lot of fun. We don't use the sandwich rule around here often (honestly I don't think it's necessary and it just slows down this game of speed) and the game is usually too slow for slap-ins, but I've seen some crazy things in that game!!

I like Rummy, Crazy Eights (Consecutive), what Zythrix referred to as Egyptian Mad Screw, but I know as Egyptian Mad Slap, Egyptian War, or Egyptian Massacre, and a game called Big Two, which is apparently a really asian game.

 

Big Two is a little like rummy, only better.

 

Players: 2 - 4

 

Objective: To use up all your cards first.

 

The Deal: All the cards are dealt out. If there are only two players, the cards are dealt out into four piles, and the game can then be played twice without shuffling.

 

How to Play:

The person with the 3 of diamonds gets to start first, and play continues in a clockwise direction.

The first person to go can choose to play just the 3 of diamonds, or use the card in a combo, but the card must be played.

Play continues until no one else in the game can play something that trumps the cards last played.

 

Combos:

Doubles - two of the same card value.

Triples - three of the same card value. (optional)

Fives from lowest to highest:

- a run of five

- five cards from the same suit

- three of a kind and two of a kind

- four of a kind and one other

- a run of five cards from the same suit

 

The winner is the first person to run out of cards. Game play can continue, with the next person playing on the last card played by the winner, or if they are unable to beat that last card, with any card/combo of their choice.

the 2 games that i find i cant tear myself away from are spades and texas hold'em both games are good for playing with your friends, spades because it goes pretty quick and you play on teams, and texas hold'em because its just alot of fun to play with friends, especially when theres beer involved

When played with 4 players, 11 cards are dealt.To pick up the discard pile, you must be able to add the top card to one of your existing melds or immediately lay it down in a meld. You can lay down as many melds as you like before discarding.2. Special Cards3's Have Special Powers Laying a Black 3 on the discard pile prevents your opponent from taking the discard pile for 1 turn, since you can't meld with a black 3 from the discard pile. 3 - 4 Black 3's can only be melded when the player goes out, and no wilds can be melded with Black 3's Red 3's are never melded or discarded, but are laid down one at a time for bonus points. If you get a red 3, it will move to your Meld Area automatically, and you will automatically receive another card to replace the Red 3 in your hand. 2's and Jokers are wild. Even though I am no good at cards, Poker and Blackjack are my favourites. Havent played in a long time though.
