I am in a programming AP class and i acnt seem to quite get the hang of it. Would it be better to learn perl first or is java also satisfactory for my friend programming launguage. Ananya 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2012 If you talk about learning core java then I first studied Complete Reference and since learning a language & then doing a certification is always better so to prepare for java certification from Sun microsystems I studied a book by Kathy Sierra meant to actually know java from scratch and pass the certification exam also.
