sxyloverboy 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 ok so ive been working on my photography gallery. and looking around for some good picture/gallery cms type things. and ive come around to finr Minigal. I really like this thing but then again its not so nice to look at for some reason. anyways if you think its easy to make a site with a cms thing like that i would like to know what you think of the design. the template is 100% mine started from scratch. those of you that know the minigal templates will probably see this. Anyways heres the link lucasseidenfaden.comi got this domain for free but it only has redirecting no dns

mama_soap 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 I love the shot of the keyboard, it looks very interesting. Yet to browse through the other sections, but couldn't resist mentioning this. I am sure I'll come back here once I've browsed through everything.

serverph 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 minimalist approach... i like it. :ph34r:and your domain works just fine. not everybody will notice that it is simply framed for your Xisto site anyway.perhaps you may want to add a creative commons license on your pages (https://creativecommons.org/2008/07/01/imagestamper/) to let your visitors know exactly what they can and can't do with your images. not simply as copyright notice (copyright 2005 is just too vague), but also to include your site as part of the creative commons' "Featured Image Works" -- which will be good for traffic for you. Extremely sorry for going off-topic, but I just want to thank serverph for that link, it's a very useful site, and I had been looking for something like it for ages! I am so glad I have finally found it Thank you! And, by the way, sxyloverboy, is the slideshow non-functional, or is it that my browser is incapable of seeing it? I am on Firefox... just curious. Goosestaf 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 not bad :ph34r:I use MG2 aswell, so you've made a good choice there :Djust maybe you use another theme and change the colours to hopw u have them now maybe. just theose current "folder" icons arnt exactly the best, and dont change when mouse rollover so i didnt even know if it was an actual link.great photos too
sxyloverboy 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 yeah that mousever this is part of MG2. there many things i dont like about it. but then again its very small and simple to understand so i think there probably an easy way to find out about that. and bla. im not happy with the foldering system myself but then again. i dont really have an idea what else i should do. Maybe make the folder icons smaller :-/ So much to change, and no ideas.

sxyloverboy 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 ok thanks everyone for replaying! anyways i changed the whole design now. so yeah. for those of you that were here before anr are seeing this the second time now please tell me if you like the first or second better. then for the people who have said that the folder icon isnt the best im going to try to find a better way of managing my categories then. Thanks for all the feedback!
Dragonfly 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 Well, your work and photography skill is commendable. So also your web design skill which is not so common. But I must say the top banner is too huge and everytime one clicks the photos s/he has to scroll up and down which is not so convenient or not so userfriendly. The rest seems good to me. How about putting copyrighted or signatures in your photos?
HmmZ 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2005 Nice layout, I agree that the header could be decreased in height a little, you dont need that much height anyway, since it doesnt display THAT much :ph34r:To my opinion, your whole site looks...cold...as a photographer you should know that contrast is important, this also situates in site design, contrast is the key, give it a color or two, that should improve it significantly. Love the photos btw.
