Very nice tutorial. I think I am going to install this into my forums but I think ill have to research it. I dont really want to mess up all this work annd then have to re-upload. Ill have to see how this forums works, interface-wise and speed-wise etc.

Yay i finally connected to the ftp, i downloaded coreftp and it did not work what so ever. So i read another topic and downloaded WS_FTP and used that, first try i got it connected. So now im all happy.

I think if you have cPanel access, setting up PHBB2 is few seconds job. You dont really need to upload files. Second, did anyone tried punbb? Its lightweight forum software and still gives most of the features. However, it is be not suitable for bigger bords (with 1000+ members) because its admin panel is not fully featured. But you may add adsense ads after first post using just a small module available to be downloaded from their site.

But i found you dont get support free
so i got alternate phpBB Plus- http://www.phpbb2.de/
you can find support in English too
some good features are
unlimited subforum
less space than phpBB FM

its unfortuante but the htacess files wont go in for some reason. I would use Xisto but until i have the credits im currently using bravenet as a test subject.
