kvarnerexpress 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2005 Hey all, I have a gradient I'd like to place on a background image which I can do and works well with 'Matte' to none. My question is, would it be better for the matte to at least be similar to the background image ( which could be described as blue stipes ) or remain as 'none'Just curious as I always see people recommend to match background for matte but never in the circustance when background images are used. Thanks.

Tyssen 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2005 Try it with the background in place. If it looks OK, then there's no need to worry about selecting colours to be transparent. I've actually done a couple like that recently and I've found it's easier to do with the background in place. Then you just have to match up the position correctly which is easy to do if you're using CSS.
