Ergonomics EComputer related injuries

I heard there are some excercises that you can do with your hands before you start using the computer to avoid future injuries like carpal tunnel and all types of computer related injuries. Does anyone here do any excercises or have some tips that they can share. Because my career will involve a whole lot of computer usage, and not to mention all the games I play, and guitar, keyboard etc. I think my hands wont last very long with all that. :P So any tips or suggestions or whatever you do before using your pc is very welcome.

the most important thing in preventing carpal tunnel is having the correct position when using the computer/mouse/etc. For example, the angle and height of the monitor... the angle and height of the keyboard... the position of your arm relative to the mouse... seat position relative to the mouse... It all makes a difference. At work we got all these ergonomic chairs that position the arm so that the mouse becomes an extension of the hand... it works great.
