Help With An Ad-aware

recently ive entered to a website called crackcrawler, that stuff installed in the pc of a friend like 50 o 70 spies and ads ... to removed all that sh*t was a problem, but finally we did it with the help of spysweeper ... in the beginning everything looks fine ... but the problem came later, the right button menu for all the system was disabled by some spy or an ad ... we dont know exactly which one ...as you can imagine is a very big problem trying to work with any program ...so i need your help ... if someone knows how can i fix that problem plz??? tell methnx guys

Without seeing what is really present in your hard-drive, I wouldn?t know how to begin to clean up what was damaged. However, see if you can restore to the day(s) before you enter the website. If you are using Windows XP any version,

 

Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore

 

This process is self-explanitory. Follow the steps and you should be able to go back to the state of your computer before spyware, or whatever you have, was installed. Now this is IF your computer has System Restore turned on and hopefully it made some kind of restore point.

You should know better than to go to crack websites. I'd just buy the actual program and save yourself the grieve of ridding your computer of all the stuff implanted on your computer.Anyways, if it's not going to be a problem, the only thing that you can do to fully get rid of all the bad stuff that that site put on your computer is to format your computer. First, back up everything. Second, format your computer with a boot disk that came with your computer. Your computer will run much MUCH faster once it's formatted - trust me.

thnx??? i ve already try by applying the last config of the system that works ... but again the pointer of the mouse is not working ... you are right, i should not use ilegal programs but i was looking for a serial of a program that was out a of the market since 97 and actually is a problem to buy it thnx for helping me??? i think the solution will be to format the pc thnx a lot

Yikes!Years ago, before I got some (lots) of protection, I had to take my computer into the shop. I had 79 viruses, trjojans etc.Everything had to be reinstalled, and reformatted.I am much more careful now.

Try McAfee Antivirus's 15 day free trial, I find McAfee to be the best in PC security, firewalls, Antivirus, Antispy, anti Ad-Ware, I used it to remove hundreds of of virus's that got on my computer when Norton's was hit with a virus of it's own, since then it's blocked, stopped, quaratined, cleaned, deleted everything that's come at it, you can get it here.> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

hi man,from wat i know system restore won't do a thing but restore u most important files if WINDOWS.u need ad-aware SE (FREE) this is considered teh best spyware removal as it gives u FREE update also and no adbaners to update. IF u update tehis reularly and scan an desrtry ur PC should be pretty good. . I advise anyone not to go to crack sites as they DO give u spyware and adware, slow down ur PC.good luckJman

All that malware is going to be really hard to take out. First get the software, ad-aware is great, but there are better programs out there. Let's start simple, Microsoft Anti-Spyware, completly free, can be found:

Then you can get AVG anti-virus free

Use the two programs (both at once if you plan on getting this done today). After you found all that spyware I suggest you delete a few at a time. I suggest no more than 10 at a time. (if you overload the program it will freeze).

 

After that get a firewall, firewalls are good at keeping hackers and malware away from your PC, I suggest zonealarm at

If you want to use ad-aware after that then that's fine too.

You could also try some online scanners, like Panda Online.

When I get affraid and not so sure in my antivirus software, I visit Panda, do an online test and cross my fingers

I know Microsoft has a spyware program out now, and it's free. It's only supported on XP I believe (unfortunately), so if you have XP, give it a try!

Yeah, Microsoft's Anti-Spy works really great (at least in my opinion). When I did a scan, it had found about 11 cases of spyware/adware and it took me by suprise when in the end, all of it was deleted. I did have one problem though. I had got one of those nasty little trojan downloaders. It was VERY tough to get rid of.

You should be more careful, and it's adware silly, Ad-Aware is a program XD but I'll name off three things for you.

Ad-Aware SE, the best Spyware remover I've ever found. can be downloaded at http://www.lavasoft.com/

Spyware blaster, prevents spyware from installing on your computer, download at http://www.brightfort.com/spywareblaster.html

And Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0, greatest anti-virus I've come across. Can be downloaded at http://usa.kaspersky.com/

There's just too many stupid people out there that make infectious files like these. Of course they should know it's illegal (at least in the U.S.) and the only thing they get out of it, is what I call "black advertising", meaning they're defacing their own products' reputation by bad advertising.

It is proabably something that is in the registry that needs to be deleted i suggest getting the program called registry cleaner. You can get the program from download.com and it helps get rid of alot of the spyware i end up getting on my computer somehow or another.

Install, Update, Scan. Definatly do the free ones, and Microsoft AntiSpyware. After you run them once, reboot, run them again, Reboot (fingers crossed) the issues should be gone.
