Recommended Posts

Thats OK. I've got FlashGot now so it might aswell stay there. Its not doing any harm. But, as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say: "Thanks for the tip."

not changing the subject, but when I used or tryed firefox  it was VERY slow!!! I did not even use it for an hour. anyone else have this problem?

To speed up mozilla:Type "about:config" in your FireFox address bar. The
settings you're looking for are:

1.) network.http.pipelining
2.) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
3.) network.http.proxy.pipelining

Set #1 and #3 to "true". Set #2 to a high number, like 32.

PS: If you have a dial-up connection, Firefox is questionable.

firefox is awesome.
do you have v.1 ?
i tried the previous versions and i thought they sucked, but the new one is a lot better :)

and firefox allows ActiveX, you have to turn it on in the options menu.

Firefox is okay, but Safari is the best :) (of course it doesn't exist for windows and Linux can get close with Konqueror). MacIE completely sucks as Microsoft has decided not to updated it. It can't even handle .pngs correctly.

Yes, I have to agree that firefox is the browser to go with if you want to have control over what you are doing. Thanks for that very useful information nilsmo! I appreciate it, it has increased my browsing speeds quite a bit!
