iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 Mambo is a CMS like Php-Nuke. I used it in my last site and it's very good. It's more intuitive and simple to use than Php-Nuke or Post-Nuke, but a lot of powerful and complete. Try it and visit mamboportal.com for modules, themes and addons, you never return to Php-Nuke. iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 "Mambo has won the LinuxUser & Developer Award 2004 for'Best Linux or Open Source Software'. Mambo competed against open source luminaries such as KDE, Firebird SQL, and eGroupware." -- from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ That can only be good  Iv been using it for a wile and i feel very confortable to do almost anything with it, im making an website on it right now and am doing well so far. If you know HTML and CSS you're done
iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 yeah, its pretty impressive. and a new version came out a couple months ago which has really raised it a level. What sold me on it was mostly the fact that it makes very professional looking and non-portalish websites. in addition, its a breeze to use and hacking the code a bit isnt hard at all.check out my website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 I don't know if it's my fault, but mambo has a lot of bugs in it and I have to uninstall it. But I can't becuase tropico is down. (again)
iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 It's ok now, I think the problem was Fantastico, but I still get an error message when I go to the general configuration: "configuration.php is : Unwriteable"Is this normal? I think I can change it manually, but isn't that quite risky?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Mambo is pretty good, in my opinion it looks the best out of all the CMS.I experienced some irritating log in and css style problems though when I installed the phpbb mod with it -_-"
