  1. I wasn't a part of this city till 2010, but by the end of 2010, when I landed here I was too happy that I have managed to do so. I have heard people saying that if anyone really wants to pursue a dream, Mumbai is the place. As I walked out of the airport to hire a cab, it was the first time I had seen such crowd rushing. I asked my husband why these people seemed to be in a hurry as it was almost midnight, I received a firm and simple answer from him who has transformed into a localite that most people here don't have much time to waste, they spend a considerable amount of time travelling, and wouldn't miss a chance to grab the earliest mode of transport available. To be very honest, I was somewhat intimidated by the cyclonic pace of the city, I wondered how was I to cope with them. After covering a long distance, we reached home and I found that people here had much smaller spaces to live in,another piece of worry for me, the markets , whatever time you visit them were always crowded. It seemed nobody had the time to even look at someone passing by, let alone smiling. The set of experiences that I gathered were lets say mixed. Gradually as time passed by, it was for me to notice the changes in ........ can you guess???? myself I had started liking the city , the crowd- as I too had become a part of it and badly missed it when not around; the din and bustle- it injected kind of steroids containing life in me; the travelling- many of you won't agree as to how someone can like travelling in Mumbai, its not convenient but an everlasting learning experience, makes you tough like hell; the accommodation part which I initially viewed as congested, now had me realise that it was easier for me to keep it clean, I thought the people to be rude, later I was happy that they weren't too inquisitive and hardly bothered one another, the city gave me a chance to grow as a professional and get prepared to face the hardships of life, "The city that never sleeps" gave me the stamina to stay awake with vigour. Thanks a ton Mumbai, you truly rock!!!!
