Welcome to Xisto! Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Online friends vs. Real life friends...so long as you know the difference you're good. And, online friends can (sometimes) become real life friends...

First MMORPG was ITCH.com's Oil Empires. Still on it today...always been good to me, hard to get used to at first, but got better and time progressed.

Welcome to Xisto! Best thing to do here is be fairly active to get MyCENTS!

A text based MMORPG needs to have some sort of a niche to it. I prefer the way that dynamic and interactive MMORPG's work over fully text-based (like Zork, if I got the idea right). But, a MMORPG doesn't need fancy crap like Flash to be good, but it does make a difference.

Well, I'll try my luck with expression blend free trial...too bad I'm not a student (those days are long gone). Thanks though...if I have other questions...I'll be sure to ask.

How do I make a window for the program (so that it doesn't run in command prompt)? Anything would be great, can't seem to find much of anything usefull by searching Google right now.

I don't understand this. However, with GMail being used in this fashion...interesting. I've never heard of it, but I can see how it would be of some use. However. sharing music like this is probably a violation of laws somewhere.Placing or sending files via Gmail is too slow so we can send 1 MB if you have poor internet 3Mb / s

In my opinion, changing too much would be too much of a hassle. Change the name of the blog. Maybe to "A Philosophical Blog of a Modern (NATIONALITY)" Replacing Nationality with yours, i.e., American, German, etc.Can someone pleeeease help?
But, what do I know...simple isn't always best.

Amen. I try to stay away from these things. Most are a waste and shouldn't be dealt with.Think before you get into that business, not all are successful in ripping reseller packages. You can try though if you want to.

Or do what I did. Get some sample code for something (I'd say to some good working MMORPG). Examine the code, and test out editing it. A "hands on" approach is always better I think.
-
I agree, however after a while, you need to advance. For example, I personally like IE 7 and Windows XP. IE 7 is getting outdated, but I see no one using IE 8. So, I'm waiting on that...but XP, I see a lot using it, but it's now up to Windows 7. Eventually, I'll need to either update to something (on browser and OS) or be left behind.Just because something is popular (like MicrosoftTM OfficeTM) doesn't mean it is the best option. Personal choice is very much a part of the decision for most people, and they like to go with whatever is familiar.
I thought it was Invision...but I haven't seen anything saying it was...good to have proof of it now!IPB is used here at Xisto is because of the support you get from Invision which is vital when your business relies upon it.

Anyone know how one can edit/create silverlight apps (for free), and how one might go about learning how to write the language?Found some editors online...but they all seem to want cash...

ASM and VHDL? I could prolly look it up, but don't feel like it right now...so, what are they? And, welcome to Xisto.

Couldn't this also be done with AJAX?

Well, I don't think Chrome is a mobile yet. And, Opera mobile is version 10 now (google search).Others I'm finding include: Skyfire, BOLT, WinWap, and Opera Mini.I know if you search Wikipedia for a list of browsers, you'll find more.

Firstly you need to find where to logon script should be located. I think it is in the c:\winnt\system32\repl\import\scripts but it maybe easier if you have the permissions just to go to \\servername\netlogon
Now you need to create and logon script... Probably best to search on the web for examples. this then can be called say "users.bat"..... It must be a .bat file.
Now you need to add the name of the logon script to the user you wish to allocate it to. Go to user manager (WinNT) active directory users and something? and go to properties of that user and add the name of the logon script to the appropreate space (in profile.. Logon script name on NT).
I have no idea what you are talking about. How is this an online script? And secondly...isn't this thread 5 years old?

Yeah, it might work...not going to try it though. If it does work, and they find out about it...god only knows what kind of trouble it may create. It could be viewed as a cheap way of finding a proxy...and most places frown upon the use of them. But, good to know when I'm on my own internet.

Seems pretty biased to me. Sure, I like Opera, but the best? No. I'd beg to differ. Now, seeing as how I haven't had much insight with mobile web browsers, give me some pros and cons to it...

Great logo. But, just want to let you know that "Its all about PC" is mis-spelled. It should be "It's all about PC". But, other than that, she looks good.

But, don't expect to always get over a dollar per hit. Some days, you could get dozens of hits from god knows where, and only earn a few cents. And, watch it, Google always finds some way to ban me from Adsense every time I try.

Sounds to me like a malware issue. Get some good Anti-Malware software, and use it. If it comes up with errors when you run it, shut down the computer and turn it back on, this time booting it in safe mode (then run it). Should be fixed then. When I click on a link when I search google, it always redirects me to another website about Insurance and other crap!

Some may work, but in this day and age, no one can be sure or anything. But, yes, it's much better to focus on making money the good old way.I don't believe such things at all, don't spare your time on things like these.
And that goes for the (what I view as) advert by dnlbblc. Worthless.

Thanks. Now one more thing...
I registered with same email at Xisto - Support.com, but yet it says No Information for MyCents on my profile page...and I registered inboth places (this forum and xistro) on the 8th. What'd I do wrong?

Well, if I were you, I'd take the machine to a computer guy (who has an external) and see how much he'd charge to back up, down-grade OS, and restore files. But, simplest way...just go out and buy an external (it'd be the easiest thing to do).
