badoo.com has the thing on their website, i've tried going through their code to see how they do it, i ddnt find it, ddnt look hard enough though, go over there you might get something. it does not beat the "save page as" option in explorer though! coz images are donwnloaded an placed in the source folder of the saved page! thats how i take e pics !!! it beats the other browsers though!! its the best i've seen! The only other way that works is to put the images in a flash script or animation, works best! but wont stop users from pushing the <print screen> key!! I have a theory on how to solve the problem, though, i have never tried it, maybe you, pls let me know if you do... you put all your images in a database (say mysql), and call them out with a java applet (or maybe jsp and servlet) and make sure the link to the picture file itself is encapsulated or encrypted. Your code can then also be used to read and detect what keys are pushed from the keyboard eg (pseudocode) BEGIN COMMENT: // KEYS: 32 == ctrl, 64 == PrintScreen, 56 == c INTEGER key1, key2, key3; BOOLEAN pressed = TRUE; IF ((key1 = 32) == pressed) OR (((key1 = 32) AND (key2 = 64)) == pressed) OR (((key1 = 32) AND (key3 = 56)) == pressed)) THEN DISPLAY "image copy not allowed" END IF; END In theory, the code can be written to interect with the browser to even block the "Save page option", note i said IN THEORY! Bichi part is, i dont think it'll work if the browser window is not selected!

Hi, guys, please help me out here, i have built a number of fuctional sites, and am hosting them on my local machine (my computer).All of them are accessible from across the network in the office, everyone can see them. Now what i want to do is put these same sites on the internet (as compared to the intranet). what am asking is, how can i archieve this? how i can have the sites sitting on my computer but accessible from the internet.They are call currently sitting in an apache webserver and use mysql for a database...

we need light to see, so if you do get on the super plane and travel faster than light are you really gonna see where you are going? i dont know, but i think i'll get one hell of a splitting headache!! maybe!! so when you reach that destination you cannot see, at one light-year away and look back, wont it take you another light-year just to see? isnt it that the things you passed on the way you can only see through the aid of light? and now that you were travelling faster than light you are now in the dark and just waiting for the light to catch up so you can see and think you are seeing the past when infact you are not? coz you'll have just travelled 1 lightyear faster than light and waited another light year (makin a total of 2 light years) just to see what you could have seen if you were travelling slower than light? God is the one who created time so i think we should just leave that one to him, coz truth be told, to a human who is nothin compared to the wisdom and inteligence of God the concept of eternity is really something we cant understand!! and time is just a very small portion of eternity! He created the light and travels way faster than it... where his thought is, there he is, get it? thats how fast he is... we cant travel faster than our thoughts can we? coz what we see, hear and feel is what makes our thoughts isnt it? time has a beginning, and everything that has a beginning has an end, time is just a portion of eternity..! therefore time is life! i am therefore forced to conclude on this wise, that if we waste time, we are basically wasting life, which we absolutely no control over! CONCLUSION: we cant control time neither can we control life, we can only put it to use.

now guys what bluedragon is saying i have an experience of, i am still trying to figure out what it is, but i think it is a virus... I wouldnt say my machine dual boots, but i do have two separate OS on two SATA harddrives. My clock problem is on this wise... when i boot the computer (XP Pro) it is either behind time with about an hour or ahead with about an hour, two or three, i am always setting the clock right, even if i leave it on the whole day it just has to lose the time on its own, i dont know how... i have about 4 virtual machines on my XP, (Suse Server & desktop versions 10, Ubuntu Server 8 & desktop 6.04, as well as XP Pro), when the problem first started i thought the virtual machines were the culprits, but i noticed over time they are not (well,.. i think so)so i really think we should start considering the possibility of a nuisance virus... am still looking into it, so please lets do help each other on this one, if someone already has a solution please do advice...i am using Bitdefender Total Security 2009...

ladies n gentlemen, good-day! i am a newbie here so please do bear with me if i have posted my topic in the wrong place...I am using an HP computer running windows XP professional SP3, when i copy items/ files onto the desktop, i cannot copy them out, if i attempt to copy them onto an external harddrive or memory stick i get a message saying something like insufficient free space (even with a harddisk thats 16times bigger than the file i.e. 160Gb free soace), when i try to burn them to disk, i get an access denied message, i tried to take ownership of the file, but it seems i cannot because the option for some reason is not available, i have tried to delete all users who have access to the files and grant myself full rights to the file it still does not work, tried using the Administrator account it dont work, last resourt was logging in with the System account it still did not work, i've ran outa options, please do help...i tried formating the external drives n memory sticks, and even changed the file-systems (NTFS and FAT32) it still did not work, please advice...
