using your phone for the web is just pathetic i mean its a great feature when it comes to downloading ring tones but thats jus about everything it does. coz besides that its just mega hard to navigate your way around and pages take ages to load.

hey this was a poll that was destined to have expected results.i jus hate to mix myself up with the mails servers and *BLEEP* so i jus stick , webmail, its the simplest solution.

incredimail is iight but what i hate about that damn program is theier adds i mean they put adds on the emails that you send thats just too bad and ugly. unless u planning on using the commericial version of incredimail i'd sugges you stronly avoid it.

well you dont really need an uptight comp to run your own server i mean its so simple i run to instances of apache on on the default port and the other on port 3000 and they all jus take up 40mb ram each so you see its not that hard well heres part two.
to run your own server you are gonna need.
a server software apache preferable
perl. mysql and python (these are optional)
also if you wish to run a web hosting company you gonna need a webhosting control panel.
a mail server
a ftp server
and the most important thing about running your own server is to have it accessible to other people to see it, and this you are gonna need, a dynamic dns client software and a dynaminc dns provider.


you see when you are on a dial up network your ip address changes every time and you need the dynamin dns client to update you ip to the dynamic dns provider every time it changes.

well sorry for all the linux people but this article is jus gonna really focus on poeple running windows coz when it comes to servers everybody knows that windows people have a disadvantage.


so next im gonna show you 5 simple ways you could get your server online and working

1..download the tsw{the saing wamp}thats basically an acronym for windows apache and mysql / perl installer. it will do everything for the configuration of all that crap and save you days of headaches. trust me been there. you could download this from tsw the saint wamp download page
that is there latest version and it features most of the features i mentioned on the first article. and please note that it also features php 5.

2...just make sure that when you are installing it you do not install the services that it the ftp server and the mail server they got there coz they not so user friendly i will tell you which ones to use . for your mails server i stronly recommend that you use.hmail server and you can find that here. hmail server .com and for the ftp server you could possibly go for cerrubus ftp server according to me its the best just use you favourite search engine to find that.

3....configure both the ftp server and the mails server . that should be a walk through. its really easy .

4....dynamic dns...<> first get a uni.cc account. another domain that is and in the domain setup point it out to dns option. then point the external dns servers to ns1.afraid.org
ns2.afraid.org
then go to http://freedns.afraid.org/and register for a dns account and add your uni.cc domain name . it will probably take some time for the dns servers to change so be patient. then from there you can configure dynamic dns for your domain name. and for the dns client i insist you use dynsite for window. its the best and the easitest to use.

5..everything is done you got your own domain name webserver and everything there is nothing that the server you just setup . cannot run its mega featured lol. take my word for it.for the webhosting control panel for people using windows there is this great one called the zpanel you can grab it at http://www.thezpanel.com/ its for people using windows.

well if you have a problem with setting up any of the above esp the dns (trust me that can really be hektic. )just pm or post in this forum ill be sure to help. well there have fun running your own server.....

Hey creating a game is just not something you jus get to do out of the blue like creating a redirection scripts theres various people involeved with different specialites and most obviously they gonna use different programming languages for different parts and aspects of the game. so if you were thinking of creating a game of your own then i would strongly suggest you stop thinking lol.

hey with database problems there's always just one simple solution. and that is that you actuall gotta have a good database management programme and the best one so far is phpmyadmin. if you use that i dont think you'll have anyproblems and if you do i think it will let you know.

Nah sauron i don think thats iight., i mean take someone like me i just find it impossible to play a game on the pc i jus don think i'lll eva get accustomed to using a mouse and a keyboard to play a game instead of a gamepad pads rock and so do consoles so i think peeps should just stick to game pads and consoles and leave the chating and all that to the comp. take a racing game for instance when i use a game pad for racing i usually end up twisting and turning the game pad as if its a steering wheel . i don think i can do that with a mouse.

well if its just recently then the cpanel passoword was changed to "changeme" so go try that i think it should work.

Hello people I know I aint posted in the forum for ages but having college and all it makes it kinda hard to keep up. Well I checked in only to find the dns servers have changed lol and im still having problems with that , well anyway since I have been away from this community for ages I jus thot I should write an article on whats been keeping me busy all this time. Well to be hosnest its simeple whats kept me busy all this time and that is Apache Apache and even more Apache. Well we all want free hosting and all, and considering you are a trap 17 member Im sure as hell you would testify that it dont get better than this. Well so youve got ya free hosting or its still pending approval lol. So I was wondering have you ever actually thought about starting your own web server from your own computer from home which you have totally full control of. Well maybe some of you have or maybe some of you think thats a wicked idea but don worry im here to tell you just how fast easy and efficient it could be just starting you web server and getting it running in just a few seconds.And you know what the best part about all this is , well Ill tell you, all the software im going to mention below are just upsolutely free , you wont spend a dime upsolutely free software.
