  1. Mmmmm yeah right... First of all I'm not a guy, I'm a woman and not a teenage one, so it's just normal than I'm not into Justin or his music, because his target as I said before is different, he looks like a baby to me so I don't find him attractive, it's like a little brother type, so no dear I'm not going to scream and get crazy about him... then you are going to say that since I don't like Hanna Montana either then I'm a hater and jealous of her as well, blahhh... you don't even have an argument, if you like his music and his looks, go ahead like it, I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not going to listen to him or love it so you can say congratulations you can appreciate talent in everything... And you are right people like him and the rest of the world is different, but that is what makes life rich, because everyone can succeed and get fame and fortune by doing different things, so I'm not going to get jealous over a boy who worked hard and got something, c'mon that's just stupid.
As I said before, the music industry is always going to have singers for every generation and every type of person, I had my teenage singers as well and loved them at that time, probably older people at that time didn't like them but I did not made a fuss about it, is a simple opinion. I don't think backstreet boys got mad at blink 182 for made fun of them in one of their videos, so get over it, it's an industry that manage money all they care about is making more money and offer people what they want and if people don't know what they want to hear or see, they are going to create something to fill that hole, and for this moment Justin did that, he's happy the companies are happy so let him have his fame minute, thanks God when the industry gets saturated with this kind of pop culture a band always appear to break the cycle, so it's just a matter of time. o_O.

Aaahh and by the way I'm not obsessed about him, I'm not going to watch crazy videos about him being killed or whatever, I don't care what he does or what happen to him.. If you adore him that much by making this videos massive all you do is spread the hate, sooo, good luck to u and your little lover.

All I'm saying is I dislike how most teenagers/ young people calls Justin Bieber gay because he's rich.. I don't like him much either but unlike most people I don't go around calling people gay just because I'm jealous of them
FYI I didn't make the video, if you havn't noticed it's an episode from CSI. Nor do I love him. Why the personal insult?
What's with all the hate on this forum? 2 years ago I joined this forum and 2 years later I come back its still filled with hatred..

  2. I really don´t like him, when I first saw him I though he was like 13 14 years old, then I found out that the guy was 16! and what´s with that voice?? are they stopping his growing or something??, the main reason why I don´t like him is the hair!!! like his hair is just perfect always, why why?? how come a 16 year old have perfect hair always??? my brother don´t even comb his hair :P, anyways now talking seriously I´m not within the marketing target, so that´s not my product, the reason of his fame is the publicity and because they are well focused on what they want, and how they going to get it, they show a nice good looking boy who would not hurt a fly so moms like him because is a "nice singer role model" for their kids, and teenage girls like him cause he is cute, well dressed, can sing, romantic, songs, endless reasons, so these crazy girls are going to scream, ask, do whatever they can in their power to get their parents to buy them everything he produces, records, concerts, shirts, whatever.
Remember when I was a teenager about 11 12 years old loveeee backstreet boys and nsync and all the boy bands available in the 90´s and I still listen to their music once in a while it brings me good memories, so every generation is going to have it´s cheese singers.

You just sound like a typical young guy who's jealous over Justin Bieber's fame and fortune.. Singing is subjective and it's different for everybody, terrible argument. I don't hate Bieber neither do I get why people hate him. There's a reason behind his success, there's a difference between him, you and me and that difference is what makes him successful.
Anyway lucky for you Bieber hater, here's a video of him getting shot and killed in CSI

  3. Does anyone else find it ridiculous that people seems to pick people based on how much they could *BLEEP*?I'm a student and recently we got a project where we have to pick various team members for our team. Now I'm not a team leader so I don't really get to decide who could join our team or not..That is for the project manager to decide. Anyway, my project manager decided to bring in this guy person A who's super good at making up *BLEEP* (I've worked with him before) and he totally rejected my suggestion to bring in this other guy. We'll call him person B.. who is extremely talented at coding which is exactly what we need. The only thing is that person B is the quiet kinda guy and doesn't talk very much. I don't know about the rest of you but I really think that its *BLEEP* how person A got the position instead of position B.All person A does is praise himself about how he could do this and that but the fact is his knowledge in terms of coding and design-wise is very limited compared to person B..

  6. @user681 :

What version of ubuntu are you trying to install ? is it the latest version with more hardware support than a previous older version?

    uname -a

You seem like you want answers to your problems now. The truth being Linux is originally designed for engineers in mind, people who love troubleshooting and have the patience to do so. If me/you either do not have the time or patience to battle with the problems a Linux distribution gives, Then do not use it.

Your friend who convinced you to use Linux sounds like a idiot to say the least. If he is so high on selling Linux to other people at least he should help you install it and make sure everything works.

For now I would recommend is try other distro, or make sure you are using the latest version of the distro. Or get your friend to come and fix your problems. If all that fails go back to windows and wait a while and try again in a year or so , by then their might be better support for your current hardware.

A Tip for the future when you go buy new hardware, take the latest live cd with and test to see if it works on that set of hardware before you buy new hardware. Good hardware should have support in Linux already ensuring that everything works out of the box flawlessly.

haha ..I guess you're right but I'm not giving up on linux just yet. I'm going to bring my laptop to my friend tomorrow to see if he could help me with it.

FYI ubuntu works fine with my main PC and wireless works right out of the box..I just think it's really stupid that ubunutu does not support some of the most used wireless card built in laptops.. and I've installed the latest version 9.10 of ubuntu

    Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

  7. what happens if you connect the laptop to your connection point with a network cord? are you able to get the internet with a catv cable?if so, then the ndiswrapper would be the answer since your network card is being recognized.

It works with an ethernet cable
I've tried using ndiswrapper and I've also gone through many guides that goes through how to set up ndiswrapper but most of these guides are written as if you're born with knowledge of all ubuntu commands and so It's really confusing..

  8. what happens if you connect the laptop to your connection point with a network cord? are you able to get the internet with a catv cable?

I've followed this guy "Snow Pickle" method

    https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1267961&page=2

and it worked!!! BUT I have a problem...

After I install it when I shut the computer off and start it up again, the wireless no longer works so right now everytime I want to use wireless I have to follow the same steps and reboot AND also requires a ethernet cable connected to my laptop to work.

Does anyone know why the hell this is happening?! and How can I fix this!?

I'm just on the edge of ditching ubuntu for 7..it's just so god damn frustrating

  9. Realtek are universally awful in their Linux support. However, the community do their best to get Realtek products working. You will need to install ndiswrapper and the Windows 2000 drivers for the card (according to most sources on the Internet).

You may find the following to be useful:

    https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8581510

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/401126

These instructions from Ubuntu detail how to get wireless cards working using ndiswrapper with very detailed instructions:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I've looked at all of them but unfortuantely I ALWAYS get some kind of an error following these guides. I've asked for support on the ubuntu support forum but they're telling me to just follow the guides that's been listed over and over..It's really getting increasingly frusterating because I mean what's the use of a laptop without wireless network?

I've been trying to get this crap to work the past 12 hours or so and so far I'm still in the dark and don't really know what to do

  10. Windows 7 on my laptop screwd up so I decided to try out ubuntu after much persuasion from a friend but I have a problem.

ubuntu is alot different from windows..and honestly half the time when I go through guides I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing..anyway I really would appreciate it if SOMEBODY could PLEASE guide me through this and help me get my wireless INTERNET working on my laptop !

For some odd reason, ubuntu IS not dectecting an wireless card ( I think) when I click on the network button there is no option for wireless network..(the top right button)

Keep in mind that I've installed ubuntu using wubi and my other OS is windows 7 (everything works fine in windows 7 INCLUDING wireless)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

  11. I've decided to just reformat the laptop after hearing Xalor's wonderful suggestion of using ubuntu to get my files out :)not only that I've also installed ubuntu as a dual boot os after testing it out with the live cd :D now the only problem with ubuntu is that it doesn't recognize my wireless card on my laptop :/ anyway thank you so much xastor!!

  12. The bios dectects all of my hardwares but for whatever reason when booting with windows 7 disk it gives an error.
What I want to do know though is that is it an hardware failure or is it software wise.

If you do need to reinstall or you do send it for tech support, or they come over. I would download and burn ubuntu or another linux distro. Just Google for Ubuntu and instructions on how to burn the ISO it comes in. If you already have one you don't need to listen to the above part. I would then pop in the disc, if its a dell I believe its f12 to choose the boot option, choose CD drive, and then go on, Ubuntu will load, choose the Try Ubuntu without change to my computer option, then let it load for a bit, alright once thats done, now on the desktop you should see your harddrive, its gonna say X number of GB Media, double click it and navigate to your stuff, if its documents then check c:/users/name/documents, plug in a flashdrive then save your stuff to there.

If I do that, would linux screw up windows 7?anyway thanks for the tip! I'll try that out later

  13. do you have a recovery disk? first thing i usually do is see if i can boot from the cd. if you can boot from the cd and not the c: drive, i would backup your files and reinstall the os. if that doesn't work, i wouldn't mess with it any further and administer your warrantee rights since it's a new laptop. tech support may want to troubleshoot over the phone first but will most likely have to end up sending it to one of their service centers. i'm with BH. i wouldn't tell them about any power outage. just play stupid like you know nothing about computers. don't help them solve the problem. let THEM do it. that is their job and you have a warrantee to back up your claim.
but still, i would see if you can use a restore cd for your os first or somehow get to a command prompt

    I do have command prompt
I could still access the "Repair your computer" section of f8 but safemode doesn't work
How do I make is so that it boots from the Windows 7 DVD instead of the hardrive?

  14. I got a new laptop a couple weeks ago..anyway for some reason it won't boot up I'm thinking this might be because of the power outage from this afternoon where I live..anyway, windows boot up with no problem but after the "Starting Windows" screen (using windows 7 btw)the screen goes black(backlight still on) but you could still see the cursor and move the cursor. (the hdd light doesnt flickr or anything) I've tried using windows recovery tool and it says it couldn't dectect any errorsWhen I try to access safe mode the same thing happens..just a blank screen with the cursor :/I've even tried using system restore..and that didn't do anything ..Does anyone know any solution to this??
