  1. I would be very skeptical of such a claim. For one, 2 miles would introduce plenty of noise. I mean theres a good chance one of your neighbors is looking at stuff on their computes as well. The heat radiation that they're looking for would criss cross. So unless you're out in a very rural area with maybe a traffic light at most, noise would be a huge problem.Another issue would be localization. Sure, even if they could see what you have on your monitor, they would still need to deduce the origin of the signals. That would require at minimum 3 sensors.I don't think the government would bother when it would be just cheaper to get a warrant for your hard drive. Then again, it IS the government. So maybe they WOULD waste billions of dollars on that kind of technology. Who knows?
  2. I don't get it. They're in India, shouldn't they be following Indian law (kinda think of it they're not much better). What is up with Muslims who move to other countries and still expect their own laws to apply, but good luck trying to do the reverse. Shouldn't assimilation be a requirement when moving from one country to another.American Muslims seem to grasp the concept of assimilating to Western values and hard work quite well. I can't say the same for the ones in EU.
  3. Somehow I don't think your idea will fly. For one, for every government action, there will always be winners and losers. The losers of any government action (doesn't matter who) will be angry, and if some undemocratically out-of-touch leaders are in charge, it won't be too hard to run a smear campaign against them. Pretty soon militia groups (think NRA types) will rise up and cook up conspiracy theories (it wouldn't be a hard sell). Think about it, the leaders are out-of-touch on how people interact with one another, with horrible social skills, so their PR would be bad. Somehow I don't think the public would care too much being ruled by a class of Aspies-- especially the losers of their policy.Theres also the issue of unintended consequences. What kind of a leader would someone raised to be excessively civicly proud and take no pleasures. A society with zero tolerance towards corruption might seem good at first, until you realize that the penatly for stealing a bubble gum from a gas station is death.
  4. Sure its easy. All you have to do is figure out a way to redirect ads to point to your site, and write some script to autoclick on them. And NOT get caught doing it. Or google bomb your site and put a whole bunch of ads while the traffic rolls in. I mean if you know what you're doing and morality isn't your thing and all.If that doesn't work, you can always make money from websites the old fashioned way--- invent a product or service people think is worth something, and they will pay for it.
  5. What type of game are you looking to make?Web based, all you need is html, some php maybe. SQL if you wish to store progress (and/or raw data) of the game [unless you're ok with creating a bunch of text files, though thats kinda hacky].If you want to make your web based game interactive, I would strongly recommend using SQL.For stand-alone apps, I guess Java is good. You can also use Java for webbased interactive games. Though the annoyance might not be worth it to set up the port 8080 server. Allthough I guess playing with threads / sockets might be fun (or not).
  6. Yeah, sure its possible. You can just use text files (read / write / open) instead of using a database to save your. The question is: whether its desirable or not. With text files, you would need one for each user at minimum, which can get pretty convoluted. There is always the issue of security (passwords open on the web).Or, if you trust that your users aren't lame, you can just use cookies on their local machines. As long as they will trust you not to use cookies for dishonest purposes, and as long as you trust them not to cheat (eg: change the values of the cookies, read them to predict the future, etc) I don't see why it wouldn't work.
