  1. Have you tried out Stronghold Crusader ever!According to me, this is the best strategy game. It has everything a strategy game requires and at the same time, is so simple that even a naive can learn the game easily. It is the perfect mix of everything you want from a game. It provides a wide range of combinations in the level of difficulty. It does not require high system confriguation or high res graphic cards yet provides with adorable animations. Also one can set the speed of the game at his will which never lets the game go boring.Definitely this is better than Rise of nations and AOE
  2. Few hours ago, Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav produced the rail budget in the Indian parliament. The main focus of the budget was on its profitibality and the safety levels it has achieved in the last five years. It was said that Indian railways has achieved a profit of more than 20,000 crore INR and will increase in the subsequent years. The reserves and surpulus has increased to INR 90,000 crore. This is a tremendous performance by the railway minister. From debts, he has made railways as one of the most profitable division of government. Another major point discussed during the session was regarding the safety railways previde. But within a few hours, we have the news that one train derailed and many of the passengers died and many more were injured. Also, even after huge criticisms last year, there is no actual step taken towards improving the technology railways use. This was necessary for the infrastructure development of the country and is ignored yet again.
  3. Finally India won the match and secured the series as they are ahead of Sri Lanka by 3-0 in a 5 match series. Now they should try and test their bench strength. Players like Ravindra Jadeja who are yet to make a debut in one day international cricket and are waiting eagerly to get a chance in playing 11 are likely to be considered for the next two matches. This will be a good test for the young cricketer. If India wins the next match, they will improvise their record consequtive winning srtike. The umpiring should be under close scrutiny and the poor performances by the umpires should not be repeated.
  4. What a batting performance by Indian team today! After loosing early wickets of Sachin and Gambhir, the play demonstrated by Sehwag and Yuvraj is outstanding. They were not scoring anything less than 8 runs per over. Both scored a ton each with a strike rate of over 120. The Sri Lankan bowlers seemed to be helpless and fielders had no choice but to see the ball out of the fence. After the dismissal of Yuvraj, Indian team fumbelled for a while but the well deserved 59* runs made by Pathan took the team back on track and finally India scored a gigantic total of 363 runs in the alloted 50 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Even the captency of Dhoni was extraordinary and the decision of keeping the batting powerplay early proved to be fruitful.India is already leading the 5 match series 2-0 and after this massive score, I think they will win the series today itself. I can't wait to see how the Lankans respond to this score. I hope Jaisurya to make uns in three digits which is the only chance for the Lankan team to save the series for time being. Murlidharan equalled his number of wickets to that of Wasim Akram and is now jointly the highest wicket taker in the ODIs. If India wins this match, they will equal their best performance of winning 8 matches successively. Please somebody ask the umpires to undergo eye tests. For the third consequtive time, Sachin is given out for a wrong decision. Yuvraj also suffered due to the carelessness of the umpires.
  5. Satyam - One of the most trusted companies in India has become the "Enron in India". It was running on fraud of over 70 billion INR for several years!!! Even the auditors like PWC also didnot catch it. Now the future of 53,000 employees is in gray. What do you think should be the punishment for the minds behind it (the CEO, directors, auditors and the corporate governance)?
  6. Yet another terror strike in India! Following the Mumbai attack of 26/11, there is a serial blast at three places in Assam. Five are reported to die in the blasts. This has been the first attack after Mumbai in the country on the 1st day of the year. I hope this year we will be able to curb the terror strikes.
  7. You already knocked out the two names I had in my mind. Seciously these two comps rule this domain. I can barely remember of anything else when it comes to E- Shopping. So according to me, no other e-shops here.
  8. Thats the point Africa, they dont leave it then. I have seen a few of them who joined a company to gain experience and then go for higher studies. But once in the job, they stop all the preparation. They always abuse their job but never changes it even though they have options in hand.
  9. I am a veggi and don't have any problems with people who are not. But I can't understand why people doesn't step back even from killing innocent animals? Is it just for taste? Its not correct to say that non-vegetarian food is more nutritious than vegetarian. Vegetarian food offers a complete diet too. However, many of the diseases in humans including AIDS have their origination form the meat eating habits.
  10. It was a good analysis of the facts and the various conditions developing there and is really an intersting topic. This is a mystry and it will reamin a mystry. You and me can never find out what happened actually and how it happened. We know what we were made to know by the leaders at that time.
  11. Everyone has a right to live his life as he wants ( unless it disturbs others ). and in no way homosexuality can affect others. Its just that this concept is new for us and hence we are reluctant to accept it. I think as the time passes and we boceme more familiar to people who are gay, we will become more comfortable with the concept of homosexuality and eventually the society will also accept it.
  12. I have seen many people during my work exerience who hate their jobs but still stick to them to avoid the uncertainities that may arise while changing it. Its not that they lack in talent, but what they are afraid of is change. ( I do not mean to point out at people having genuine problems )My concern is that are these people really doing justice with their job and with themselves? Is it wise to stick to something you don't like and you are not meant for?
  13. I am also from India and have a work experience in a software firm. Now I am pursuing an MBA degree from a reputed institution here. From my experience, I should say that its always good to have a work experience and then go for an MBA degree but its not always necessary to have experiene for it. All depends on the analytical skills one has and how focused and dedicated he is. The only thing is that the college you are trying to go should be a good one.
  14. New development happened regarding the Mumbai attack!!!Hotel Taj and Oberoi are reopened for the visitors from yesterday onwards. These two delux five star hotels were among the targets of the Mumbai attacks leading to maximum number of casualties. Another development happened in Goa where the state government restricted all the beach parties for the christmas and the new year due to the threats of terror attacks. Goa is the center of attraction for tourism for foreigners.
  15. How come this forum has no responses for last two tears??? No Indian and people visiting India left or what!!! I don't know how I missed this forum earlier.Anyways, I think the reason for this is that there are too many new forums with the same topics now. May be this one could be set as the one where our friends coming form outside can inform us so that we can be of maximum help to them.
