Aye,I concur that this is a dodgy version of vista in most cases....Although i purchased an official version of vista from a certified microsoft retailer and the same thing happened to me....it is a defect in the Vista install disk if you are trying to install an official version...If you purchased it from a shop you can go back and ask them to give you a new disk...as you would not have registered that seriel key they should give it to you...If you have problems at the merchants ask them to ring microsoft and they will tell the merchant that that version has not yet been activated and so you shouold have no problems gaining a new copy ....Remember Vista has more code in it from the last 20 years than any other program in the world...this is due to Microsoft just building on old foundations rather than building from scratch...All in All use Linux not Windows

Hi,The difference really between Linux and Windows is....1. Linux you are not giving the man a ridiculouse power over not only home computers but corporate computers as well2. Linux is made by the people for the people so as such will tend to be on the bleeding edge a little more..3. Linux is much more secure than windows...4. I just dont like windows5. Come on now have you seen the videos on youtube of the microsoft VPLol to be honest guys microsofts wings should be clipped....and if in doubt the french have the right idea as there goverment has just switched all major computer systems to a form of SUSE Linux

Hi,The best way to do it is install linux on the second or third partition...When you install Linux it will automaticaly create a dual boot system...This means that when you boot your system it will ask whether you want to go into the linux or windows O/S,This also means that if there are troubles with your linux install then you can google the problem through your windows internet explorer...But please make sure that you backup all your important files before doing this guys cos they cannot be retrieved if you install on the wrong partition as linux does not work under the ntfs file system and so will change it...

Hey,This is not just PCI cards i noticed that when i tried to install my USB wireless device on windows it could not find drivers while when i installed it on ubuntu and suse it found the device and isntalled it using generic drivers....Does no one find this weird that a company that has been making operating systems for almost a quarter of a century cant program generic drivers... but a o/s that is free and developed by Mr Joe Bloggs can....

Well I had a popup that actually attached to my IP similiar symptoms and i also had an anti virus ad that would keep loading it self up in the registry.... The best idea may well be to actually unhook your pc from the net do a complete rescan and then go through the registry bit by bit... although this may take a little while it will definetly remove it for good.
