  1. Hi all fellow web developers and designers. I would like to ask what is the best free forum system, such as myBB and phpBB, Fireboard for joomla and so on. I have seen many sites with a huge community mostly powered by paid ones, such as IPB and vBulletin. So which is the best free one that can handle a huge community of users?

  2. Exactly. I got that error too and deleted my thread after awhile, noticing it is not published. Recently I notice the IPS errors and long downtime, almost worried the downtime would last through my hosting credits and I may get suspended. The admin should be solving this instabilities quickly, lets hope trap 17 forums don't drag this for too long. Cheers.

  3. Have you read any books on it? There should be some at your local bookstore or local library to borrow and pick up the programming language.Check out those that start off at the lowest, novice level and gradually pick it up before going on to programming code reference books. C++ has a really steep learning curve, better that you possibly pick up Ruby or PHP as a basic programming language to understand how its done before progressing to learn C++.

  4. Haha, no scam dude. From the way you post, I know you just cant wait, but hang on, please do make sensible posts. I have been a trap 17 member for about a month, and I can't help but thank them for such an excellent service. The forums are a great place to hang out after a long day of programing, and also ask questions on web development and so on. Honestly the webhosting is just awesome, and from my experience hopping from host to host, nearly tried every one out there but I could finally settile after a really promising stay here. So far, not sure about the rest, I have not had a single minute of downtime all this while. This is the truly great service at trap 17.

  5. No way. I think skipping class is just too risky in my school with such high discipline standards, and would put myself at stake of possibly being severly punished. Besides, since we're blessed with a chance of having education, that millions of children and youth around the world do not have, and we have to invest that time in school anyway, so why not put it to full usage and learn, rather than skip lessons and end up with possible discipline cases and learning nothing at all. Though I agree, sometimes lessons are boring, and the lecturer or teacher just bores you.

  6. You may want to use a free CMS, or Content Management System, to handle this issue neatly and integrate the forum in without a problem. If you have already nearly fully developed your webpage, best that you code your own bridge. Also, you may just leave it on another site, like many webpages do, even right here at trap 17, such as yourdomain.com with the forums at forums.yourdomain .com Im not sure on this, but if you have existing members on both forums and the main website, you may or may not encounter problems sychronizing the database. Cheers.

  7. Online dating? I just don't think that's the way love should be. Yes, this may be the 21st century, or the age of internet with a growing demand for social websites, and at times when you just can't get a date you try all of these. Well, love should get more personal, not so 'electronic' and artificial. Many of these may turn out a a bunch of 'lies' and so on. Alreadty the internet is full of threats, gimmicks and frauds, such a thing only contributes to people who lure a victim too. You may not entirely agree with me, but I think this is what I stay away from. Cheers.

  8. Hi all. I have been looking around for free domains, but till date I still can't find one. I am not refering to free redirections, instead im referring to free .com or .net domains, and if possible, I want a .asia domain. It is not that I don't have cash in hand, but I am under 18 and do not have a credit card or any form of Paypal funds. Anyone has tried getting a free domain that works? Please reccomend. Thanks alot.

  9. I have never liked Norton, and now I am currently using Kaspersky Internet Security suite, after I got fed up with Norton 360. I have known many people with many problems with Norton, such as configurations, and the 'letting the owner decide' part. I find it really hard to get Norton Security software to suit my preferences and ignore when I tell it to. With Kaspersky's comprehensive and intuitive interface, it just makes Norton trash. Also, I found out that Kaspersky probably has the most number of recognised virus signatures, making the software way ahead of the rest.

  10. I first dicovered this while surfing at the Joomla webpage, and saw a banner advertisement for a new browser, later I found ou to be known as Flock. Flock 1.1 integrates social networking and media services including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, Blogger, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and so on. When logging into any of the supported social services, Flock automatically activates these services within its features of when, for example, friends have updated their profile, uploaded photos or other items, allow sharing of text, links, photos and videos, Flock's own "media bar" allowing preview of online videos and photos, and subscription to photo and video feeds. Flock's Blog Editor allows direct posting into a designated blog, along with being a blog reader. Flock also allows for third-party add-ons, including a number of Firefox extensions. I personally find it a great browser, for the growing number of Social Network services, and something different from the rest, such as Opera and Safari. So much for introducing the new Flock browser, I am still stuck to Opera, currently my favourite browser.

  11. Cuil.com. Not much hype on the internet about this, but I would like to see your opinions on this search engine. Cuil, according to the creators is a search engine that organizes web pages by content and displays relatively long entries along with thumbnail pictures for many results. It claims to have a larger index than any other search engine, with about 120 billion web pages. It had just went live on July 28, 2008. What's unique. Cuil's privacy policy, unlike that of other search engines, says it does not store users’ search activity or IP addresses. Cuil is managed and developed largely by former employees of Google, and the CEO and co-founder, has worked for IBM before. The company raised $33 million from venture capital firms, and have a sort of new technology to lower the indexing cost. The new Google? I don't think it would get anywhere close soon.

  12. Same here. I agree phones are really personal items, just like a personal assistance. I personaly find that all phones have pros and cons, and no one would tailor made a phone for you. Different brands of phones are known for different purposes, and target different markets of people. I have used Motorola phones, and too find that what your're looking for has it all in a Motorola. Personaly I do not like Sony Ericsson at all, and would not even bother to walk into their shops, simply because it is not for me. I have to say I am a Nokia fan. Cheers.
