Recommended P2p Software Recommend you P2P client
Legend Link replied to shotgun's topic in Software
I don't use P2P software to often but when I do I use utorrent. It's quick, easy, small, and reliable. Limewire is okay, I wouldn't reccomend it though. I've also used bitcomet in the past, it's not to bad. -
Hmmm I've heard alot about Avast, and AVG... Alot of people say their better than most paid for security suites. I myself have never tried either of them. So I guess my question is which ones better? What are the pros and cons of each? I'm interested in maybe getting either or. What do you think? Thanks!

I love Flight Simulator X! Even though I'm horrible at it. It's the best flight simulator I've ever played. And it's the most realistic. Even though the controls are a bit complicated it's still very fun to play. As long as you know the basics you should be okay. Plus theirs tutorials there to help you learn how to fly. I like how they have a bunch of challenging mission to play. (I normally fail at those ) I usually just like to fly around, mess around, crash... etc. Some bad things are I thought the game didn't come with alot of planes to fly, I think you can download new ones on the internet somewhere. (Not sure where) That's just a minor downside. Another thing is you need a fast computer. The game itself is around 13GB I think.Gameplay is very smooth and realistic, the graphics are very life like, you really get the feeling of flying. Overall Flight Simulator X is an excellent game. I hope their are more to follow in the future that are even better than the previous.

Wow! Looks like an awesome game. I think I just might try it out sometime. Good luck with developing it.

Looks like a good p2p... almost the same as limewire. Maybe I'll give it a go. Really no matter what by using p2p software you put yourself at a risk for malware. All the crap that people put on other p2p software is rediculous. I've ran into a few files with trojans on any p2p software. My suggestion is use a good firewall along with it to prevent anything you might come across.

Wait... The Sims? Or Sim City? They're two completely different games, made by the same company though. In my opinion their is no way to "beat" a simulation game. It's like life... we can't beat life. The point of a simulation is to be a life like as possible.

I don't really remember the original Age of Empires to well, but I have the game and I used to be pretty good at it. I remember playing maps that had a combination of land and water so I could use siege and those catapult boats. (Don't remember what those are called.) I always hated how the computers would have hundreds of priests converting your units. Oh well it offered a challenge.Age of Empires II is probably my favorite. Even if it isn't as hard as the original. It takes place during my favorite period in history, I guess that was a plus for me. I also loved the scenerio maker... That was always fun to make huge battles with.Age of Empires III is great to. I think it's lacking a few things though. I think it takes place during the most boring time period... One reason why I somewhat dislike it. Overall all three games a excellent. Their my favorite RTS games.

Yeah It's called SimCity Societies. Honestly I didn't like it that much either, I bought it shortly after it was released. It had gotten away from the classic building of Sim City - Sim City 4. It was really hard to understand, they took out alot of the good old features and put in some new crappy ones. Even though you could completly customize your city... says the game makers. I don't find you could, I often found myself repeating several things. Sim City Societis just doesn't live up to the other Sim City games. As for me, I'm going to stick with Sim City 4 with the Rush Hour expansion pack.

I'd like to use COMODO Firewall along with my Zone Alarm security, but two firewalls installed at once doesn't work. I tried it on my test PC and it would freeze the computer. I guess COMODO will be my back-up if all else fails. Although I don't think that will happen since Zone Alarm is doing an excellent job!

I've been using Zone Alarm for a few months now and I really like it. Good detection rates, very good firewall, updates regularly, great protection, and it's not heavy on system resources. It also integrates well with other security products you may have, Well tries to, depends if the other product will integrate easy too. I've tried several others that just didn't work for me such as Mcafee, Norton, AVG, Avast etc... (Well some are) It's not that their horrible, but they just didn't suit my needs.

Best Html Webdesign Studio Make A Website Very Easily
Legend Link replied to mehrooz's topic in Software
I use WYSIWYG Web Builder. It's a simple visual web builder, easy to understand, easy to learn, creates great looking websites with a variety of tools, plus it has a long free trial period so you can really test and see if it's a good product. I really like it, I think buying expensive HTML editors such as Dreamweaver is a waste of money when Web Builder does just as good of a job. -
I used to use it a year back or so, But I don't anymore because it has a few problems with it. It doesn't give me the best download speeds as other software has. The so called "Resume Supported" thing never seemed to work for me. It often froze alot when having more than 4-5 connections to ne site. I still haven't found a download manager that works for me though. But from this topic I have a few in mind to try.

I really wanted to play that game, but when I clicked on the site to see what it was it said the site didn't exist. That was a few months back but oh well. (Meanwhile I've been stuck playing Endless Online, which isn't that bad of a game it's pretty fun.) Where can I find this game at? I'd like to try it out.

Haha yeah I'm using Windows XP. Thanks for the help. When I first started looking about how to do this I was completely confused, but now that I know what I'm doing this should be a snap! Thanks for the help Bluedragon, and Truefusion. I have one other questions though. To configure a firewall for this would I just allow the selected IP's inbound and outbound access?

I'm no expert either but in my experience I think Zone Alarm, Kaspersky, Avast, and others are the best. They aren't overloaded on system resources, and have good decetion rates, plus the scan speed isn't that bad.I've used Mcafee before... It was horrible. All it ever found were a few cookies. It was heavy on sytem resources. I just didn't feel safe using it.Norton was also bad. Never detected anything. I don't reccomend it.I've used Trend Micro before, It came with my new PC, but I instantly uninstalled it because I had already had a security suite from my past computer.

I really liked the original "The Sims." It was a great start for the Sims series. The game got even better after buying several of the expansion packs. Added several nice features to make the game even more life like. The Sims 2 was also great. But just having the base game kinda sucked, and got boring very quickly. But after buying the expansion packs the game got better again. I think they released to many expansion packs and should have just combined a few. When you look at it, all the expansion packs put together aren't exactly cheap. As for the Sims 3. I can't wait for it to be released. It looked like they made the game very real. I haven't heard to much about the game yet. Maybe I should go searching around.

I was going to connect two computers together with a crossover cable to share files, and maybe even play a few multiplayer games over it. In my understanding I need a cat5 crossover cable, correct me if I'm wrong here. Both computers need to have a network card. After I hook up the computers I need to set each computers IP. (I'm not to sure on how to do that) Then I need to make sure the computers can "talk" to each other. From what I've read that's all I need to do. Anything I'm missing? If someone could explain the part about setting the computers IP that would be great! Thanks for any help!

Favourite Rpg? What is your favourite RPG?
Legend Link replied to peterspliid's topic in Computer Gaming
Hmmmm I don't exactly know what my favorite RPG is. But my favorite MMORPG is Endless Online. It's just a fun 2D fantasy game. It has a few minor problems, but the game has great potential. I really don't have a wide choice of MMO's I can play since I'm running on dial-up internet. -
Well if you want a newer game I reccomend the Age of Empires series, or Command & Conquer. Both excellent games. If you don't mind the game being a bit old I'd suggest getting Total Annihilation. It was released back in 1998 by Cavedog. You can download the base game and all it's expansion packs on the internet or buy them from an online store. It won a few awards back in the 2000 - 2002 for best RTS I think. Mayb not be the newest but it's till great!
