Why are we here? The answer is of course simple.... As are all the answers to the most complicated and philosophically deep questions. Why should there be a why? There is no reason for our existance. Think about it, don't expect to be able to comprehend this entirely as it is impossible with our infinitley limited brains. But try and imagine infinity. A big vaccum of space that stretches on forever. It will never ever ever end. You could shoot off 265 times the speed of light in a direction and keep going the same way for trillions of years and never reach an end. Because there isn't one. Now think about matter. There is almost definatley more than one "universe" I personally believe that there are an infinite number of universes. (Not too sure on the plural of that word though) In this infinite number of universes there is a finite amount of galaxies and therefore a finite amount of planets yes. But infinity times )( is still infinite. There is an infinite number of planets. Therefore the chances of something happening like this are almost 100%. Think about it. A quadrillion number of monkeys at a quadrillion computers for a quadrillion years. Trillions of them are going to produce a coherent word, billions maybe a sentence, millions maybe a short paragraph. Maybe 10 or 20 are going to make a full novel, with twists character development and other such things that happen completely by chance. Maybe the monkey may make a few typing errors but the world that we live in isn't perfect either, that just feeds into my analogy. The monkey did not have a reason for typing that novel. He just did it by accident *of course when I use this analogy of monkeys at computers I am taking into fact that none of them die or take a break or the computers cease function. It's just to personify the idea of randomness coming together to find something coherent. In this infinite cosmos say there are a few sub atomic particles that just happen to attract another one. The particle was never created. Why should it have been created? Because everything that a human can imagine has to have a maker. Surely that's just logic, you might say. Nay nay, as I stated before we have a very finite brain capacity. Infact an infinitley finite brain capacity as it were. We will never understand things like eternity or life after death. *Until of course we die* But say these sub atomic particles in this infinite mass of emptiness. These particles come together via gravity and become helium. They all mass together over a very, very long time and we get a much larger thing. This process has no time limit for it to be created. It has all eternity to make something. And it finally does, a small rock that inhabits some tiny microorganisms. This is also simultaeneously happening trillions of times over elsewhere in the infinite cosmos. Eventually the tiny microorganisms decide they like where they are and evolve and adapt. As the climate and enviroment changes into the certain areas where they are on this rock they become different from each other. They begin to have to eat each other to survive. Large rocks are just wandering around through space and ono the off chance just happen to collide with the earth. These creatures that have adapted to this enviroment are fleeting. They leave way for a new dominant species. We develop from doing miscellaneous tasks and become a small tribe of animals. We then breed and think more about things. Just out of sheer luck having the adding help of an apposable thumb we take over. You were then born from two of these animals. They are no different from any of the other microorganisms on the other trillions of planets that have life on them but your just lucky you got the good planet. Theres no reason your here. Your just another microoganism that got lucky.tl;dr theres no point in life

Sofar everybody is using dreamweaver. Lets end that here ......I use frontpage 2003 (there is not much differents between frontpage and dreamweaver (except for the other macromedia programplugins)).The fact that dreamweaver is more user friendly then frontpage ..... well can't find that in frontpage 2003.I tryed both programs and frontpage 2003 is the one I choose to use(because frontpage takes about 10 sec to startup and dreamweaver takes about 1 min to startup.I do agree if you work with flash end other macromedia products that dreamweaver is probely better to use.

What's Your Favorite Kind Of Food?
french-german replied to ElBandoneonWEbsite's topic in Health & Fitness
I can't take place in the poll, because my food catagory doens't fit into either (add an 'other'?)But, the primary foods that I eat daily are fruit, dairy, and wheat. I eat cereal (Frosted mini wheats) 2-3 times a day (and I'm generous in my bowl size) with skim milk. I have fruit for breakfast, lunch, and any snacks I have. I have fat-free yogurt for lunch. Sometimes I have a sandwitch or trail mix for lunch too, and if I don't I sometimes have a sandwitch or trail mix with the snack I Have when I get home from school..Then I have most of my protein for dinner. -
What Age Should We Give Our Kid A Cell Phone?
french-german replied to THUMP's topic in Mobile Phones
Obviously, a cell phone is a tool which a kid do not require, at least usually, but even if it could prove to be useful, we or you all should know the risks of a child using a cell phone, which are pretty much the same as for the adults, except the fact that the kid would have access to the internet, it would be expose to radio waves which could damage him fisicaly more then it does to the adult bodies because kids are more fragile, plus, kids should not have access to certain objects/tools until they are 16 years old at least, but it is better just when they are 18 years old, until then they should be educated of the risks, of the benefits and the advantages and disadvantages of using cell phones, one more risk is that anyone can call him, and if a pedophile man/worman calls him, is it not a very big risk, is it not the biggest risk, or even a murderer, a raper or a person that will want to trade the kid for money, or just kill him for revenge? There are a lot of risks, kids should not have cell phones, never! -
Family Guy Or Simpsons Go family guy :D
french-german replied to savgunz's topic in General Discussion
They are both really good shows and have different types of humor, so I can't really vote. The Simpsons have this original charm to them and you can almost connect with the family, considering that The Simpsons is now an icon of our culture. It's hard-pressed to find a person that has been exposed to the idiot box that HASN'T heard of The Simpsons. Family Guy is also establishing this stand in pop culture, but not yet as long as The Simpsons have been doing.I think that Family Guy carries on it's outrageous statements (you know those moments that make you go, "I can't believe they said that on television!") to the brink of what can and cannot be said on public television, whereas The Simpsons is a little milder on that aspect. Maybe that's why Family Guy is a little more popular as it is more current, makes fun of current events, and is outlandish and has its own inside jokes, whereas The Simpsons has more of a classic touch with donuts, Duff beer, Homer's famous "Doh!" outcry, Bart's "Eat my shorts!" response, the ability to connect with a lot of the characters, etc.The whole "plagiarism" thing is rather moot, as we all know that Seth McFarlane makes a parody of almost everything in existence: celebrities, movies, musicals, and pop culture moments. That's how we can connect to Family Guy. We can't connect to the absurdity of a talking baby bent on world domination, or the active cop in a wheelchair, or the known elderly pedophile, or the sheer stupidity of Peter's antics. That's where The Simpsons shine through with the local drunk (Barney), the stereotypical convenience store worker (Apu), the ultra-rich and possibly-evil CEO (Montgomery Burns), etc.Neither show is better... it just depends on what you prefer and are accustomed to. I like both shows, frankly, for what they bring to the table as far as television. And both of them deliver humor as well as pop culture beautifully. -
Caffeine Addiction Is Caffeine Really A Drug?
french-german replied to Yuripro84's topic in Health & Fitness
* Different people use different ways of quitting. What works for one person may not work for another. Try these steps in any order to see what works best for you. * Kicking it in one clear cut may work well for some, even with the symptoms. Feeling the headache and fatigue can actually demonstrate just what the caffeine is doing to your system. It does also give some an important sense of accomplishment - since some people may not notice the difference when giving it up gradually. * There is no question that the withdrawal is tough, it is very tough, but cold turkey is the best way to go. Start on a Thursday because the third and fourth days are the worst. You do not want to be at work while you are in the worst phase. The clarity you will sense when you are cleared out is unbelievable. You will feel like you had forgotten how lucid the human mind is. It is TOTALLY WORTH QUITTING!!! * DRINK LOTS OF WATER, LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER. Get yourself a replacement drink, it could be water, carbonated water, juice, decaf - just something to get when the urge for a cup sneaks in. * "Postum" is very similar to coffee, but without any caffeine. Try it. You might like it. Hot Carob is another good choice (somewhat like cocoa). * Ginseng root is a great herbal alternative to caffeine, and pills of it can be found at health food stores. It is a natural alternative for your energy needs! * As an alternative to quitting gradually, you could just go cold turkey. This is harder, but often more effective. If doing this, increase your water intake drastically, it will often help reduce the headaches. The big problem with "cutting down" is that it makes you really look forward to your daily ration. A great mindset to be in when you're quitting something is to look upon it as a happy experience, not a painful one that you want to postpone for as long as possible. * Another thing to try: The first week, drink your coffee as you normally would. The second week, when you make your coffee, use 3/4 regular and 1/4 decaf. The third week, use 1/2 and 1/2. The fourth week, use 1/4 regular and 3/4 decaf. The fifth week, you're drinking decaf! * Use your strength to fight your weakness. One example is that if you are competitive, find someone just as competitive with you to compete with to see who can stay off of coffee the longest. * If you wish to reintroduce caffeine into your diet on a non-addicted basis limit yourself to one cup of tea or coffee per day, preferably in the morning and no later than early afternoon. Caffeine addiction is often born out of habit, so therefore don't slip back into the habit of reaching for a tea, coffee or diet coke whenever you feel like it. * There is caffeine in lots of drinks, not just the dark ones like coffee and cola. Stay clear of energy drinks and be careful with tea. You should make a habit of checking out the ingredients of what you eat and drink so you don't sabotage your efforts. * Chocolate and other cocoa derivatives contain caffeine. If you're serious about getting off of stimulants, you may consider quitting chocolate as well. Caffeine concentration is directly related to the darkness of the chocolate. For instance, a milk-chocolate bar will have much less caffeine than a dark chocolate bar[1]. * With headaches being the most common (and severe) symptom, watch out for caffeine laced headache remedies, such as Excedrin. Interestingly, caffeine is an ingredient in many of the most frequently used prescription headache medications. * Decaffeinated coffee does contain a minimal level of caffeine. While it may serve as a stepping stone, do realize that continuing to consume decaffeinated coffee does not constitute quitting caffeine. If you enjoy hot drinks, look instead for no caffeine products such as herbal teas or even soups. -
