  1. I'm not sure if anyone's already mentioned it before, but I recently started an MMORPG called Metin-2 (http://en.metin2.gameforge.com/).Give it a shot if you want. I'd describe it as.... er.... Dynasty Warriors meets WOW? But hey, thats my take on it. Graphics are okay too, considering its installation size (500 MB-ish).One good thing to notice, however, is its strong reference to Oriental culture and such. So, it's not too rare to come across an iron clad Chinese warrior facing off with a stealthy Shinobi.

  2. I've been playing DotA for quite some time now. Well, basically you could say it was the bold fusion of Strategy with RPG elements that attracted me to the map. Being a long time RPG player, innovative stuff like this attracts your attention. Anyway, it took me a little while to get accustomed to the game-play and the dos and donts, but I suppose that once you've gone past that point there is so much that you can explore.

Anyway, since this topic is not about what the game is and neither is it about any strategies, I'm not going to delve any further in that regard.

As far as the questions go, I think all the Heroes are balanced and they cant be judged on a 1v1 basis. Thats exactly why this is a 5v5 team game.

My current favorite is Nevermore, simply because the last couple of games that I've played had incorporated some of the most well-timed combos that I've seen yet, and standing there in Lothar's Edge, and using your ultimate.... Sheer exhilaration. Oh and as far as the mode goes, I like -xl and -sd the most.

I guess that's pretty much it, if any of y'all want to discuss something about DotA, feel free to PM me.

    Cheers.

  3. 1. Please be specific and not generic. We here to learn from one to another.

The extremists still using these verses to justify their nasty actions.

I for one condemn those extremists, they are terrorizing people for some purpose that IS NOT Islam and the people who follow them are sadly mistaken.

    3. Also you have to teach us by telling how Islam was spread to Egypt , all countries of North Africa, Spain, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afganstan, India, Pakstan, Bangaladish, Turkey, Bosnia, Albania, Islamic republics of former Soviet Republics, Mangolia, etc...

Conquest of Hearts my friend. The wars that were fought afterwards were not primarily for 'spreading Islam'.

    5. We want to learn from you and you also have to learn and think what happened in the history without any prejudice or be leaded with other interpetation. We are here to exchange knowledge

The History is crippled by the conquerer, you can never learn historical truth by reading those books.

  4. Why are we Born in this Earth? Why are we created in this earth? Why are we different from other animals/creatures? Why are we marrying and have children?I think there is an answer for all these questions. If you have brain with 6 senses and time to think, answer these questions..

I wonder how many people here have 6 senses?
    6th sense -> (non)sense

  5. If there is fast internet, we will need a faster hard drive because it depends on the speed of a harddrive to see how fast it can write files on it.

I think you should first think of your ethernet card ^_^ , It will take at least 7-8 years to change all the infrastructure that has been laid down for the internet, all the current eqipment will have to go, new routing algorithms will have to be designed, by then you will have super fast SSDs.

  6. The person who started this thread never returned, this is a perfect example how you start a flame war (although, there is no war in this case). This aside, most of the people here are talking about modders/cheaters, not hackers.

  7. not all religion promotes peace and love. some promotes evil and malintent.

It is Man who is Malevolent, not religion. It is Man who promotes evil, molds religion to his own purpose.

when you go to heaven, youll be given a number of virgins as a reward? then does that mean women are just objects and nothing else?

True, but I think the English professionaly translated version is good enough.

We have just seen how 'good' it is. It is good for starters who are overlooked and consulted by a learned Muslim.

  8. Yes you are correct rvalkass. The linux platform doesn't have the ability to run the ASP.NET applications but Im not sure if you've heard of 'The Mono Project'. It's an open-source development effort sponsored by the infamous networking company Novell.

You might want to look at their webpage. I was experimenting it on *nix and it has been a blessing for people who are a supporter of open-source but have to work on .net based application.

    /

and as mentioned on their website, these following companies provide hosting solutions with asp support using mono

    /docs/faq/aspnet/

Please take a look into this.

  9. I love google's sense of humour. I remember once when google launched some new super fast internet which you can connect by putting the connectivity line in your toilet and flushing it down where the many divers would take the wire and plug it into the data network.I was seriously fooled by it but looking at the date 1st of April made me laugh really hard on it..I went even as far as searching on google about how to get. It was not until i read the details that I understand it was one of their april fools day.

  10. Hey there Opaque/mods and admins,I was refered here by a friend named Soby. Though he became inactive here due to his real life taking up most of his time, he kindly recommended me here for a better than rest paid-type hosting account. To this point I have found the forums a best source to hold any sort of discussion on any type of matter and be helped on anything. Apart from the Hosting, I find this website a good place to stop by and spend some of my time.Well the main reason I opened up this topic was that, I was looking up the support of technologies you have on the hosting plans and I was amazed that you support so much and give it away for free. I congratulate you on running such a project which is beneficiant for all of us.I could not help but notice that though you have support for almost all the technologies, I couldn't see the support for ASP.net 2.0 and MSSQL. Well I know that deploying MSSQL would be really tedious but the support for ASP.net 2.0 just requires additional modules being added to the server.I might be wrong but what I wanted to bring to your attention was that, enabling the support for both or even ASP.net 2.0 would greatly enhance your market as there are a lot of people who work on this, and would definately make you a complete package in all aspects.I hope that my suggestion would be met with approval, as sooner or later I might be in need for this and thought to post about it beforehand.Thanking in advance.

  11. Well first of all it's good that you want to endeavour into developing games and all but I have to say that this task is not easy and very tedious.Well for developing games for different consoles, you do need a SDK ( Software Development Kit) like rvllkas said.On top of that you need people or knowledge to work on 3d softwares to makde 3d models and environment. Softwares like 3ds max and Autodesk Maya. they cost a lot there a couple of other softwares out there too you can work on.With this you need development knowledge. the most widely used programming language is C++. You can use that to develop your own game engine or get the license to use game engines made by others.A Good example could be the new and coming game engine project offset.Me and my friend worked on making a game engine using C# 2.0 with microsoft managed dirext as the Application programming interface (API).Microsoft just launched the XNA Gamestudio (XNA Framework as the API). you can use that to make games for xbox /xbox360 prolly too. you can also register with the some club/forum where you can launch games for xbox you made.Well thats the info i could provide. Hope I was of some help to you.

  12. Well if I were to start a business then I wouldn't just quit my job and start working on it as the business initially takes time and investment to work and if you quit your job then I doubt you would succeed unless you have a good amount saved up to cover your expenses and investment you need to do in your business.I would say that just keep your job so the fear is minimized and work on your business. Set out a plan on how to progress business like the market research of what you want to do and stuff.Invest time into your business and work your way up and when the business becomes stable you can then quit your job.Best of luck to anyone who wishes to venture into starting their own business.

  13. Stock market i quite scary, be it the foreig exchange (for people who don't know what forex really means) or stock trading. I personally have stocks in a bank and believe me, you never know how your stocks might turn up. You might end up getting rich a day or being broke the other one.The stocks that I had in the bank didn't give me any profit or anything for quite a while.. and from while I mean years and then one upcoming day i see that their stocks are boosting and i got bonus shares and profit percentage given to me.Well that just me a regular job oriented person who invested in the bank. I know people who work with securities ( the shares managing companies for people) and some who do it part time and believe me that even though they are in this business, they tell me to stay away from it. It's too risky and is for only those people who can invest their time, interest and money into it.Concluding theres only one thing be to said. Its might be a heaven for some and hell for some. Dwelve into it catiously.
