thanks for the reviews, so it seems that i need to start looking for a new banner as for what the site is about it is just a general chat site, i thought that people would be able to tell that but i guess not, i will add a message for guest explaining what the site is about.yeah i kinda used Xisto idea for that fourm hope no one minds

Some of you who have been here for a while might remeber seeing some topics about this site. and im just going to say it the layout that the site used to have was crap. if was the first layout my brother made, and it sucked. so i have now taken over the site, and redid it, and started over with it. so basicly what the site is is a general chat site, where people can come and talk about any thing and everything they want. Any feed back on the site would be great.

yes it's back up now but for the past hour it has been going down ever 2 minutes or so, why is this, i was trying to work on upload all the files and run some test but i cant do that with the site going down.

does any one know a way to try and get away from caffine, i tryed a few times to quit caffine all together and i would get migranes, dizzy & fainting spells, & nausea, on the days i did not have caffine.

are you talking about google talk? if so when it comes up just put in your username and password and check the remeber password box and it should remember your username and password it does for me atleast.

it looks good my comments are going to be very simmiler to the other ones, you should make the banner smaller, it's to big, also i would recomend changing the font size from 10px to 12px, so that it is easier to read.

Hello, I have been using IP.Board 1.3 ever since it came out and i like it a lot i know every thing about how to use and edit it, but the other day a one of my members suggested that we consider upgrading to the latest verison of Invision Power Board, so i got talking with the staff i have and none of them have ever uesed it so i'm looking for some feed back on Invision Power Board 2.3, is there any one here that is using it, if so what do you think about it, what do you like, what do you hate, is it easy to learn how to use, and how hard is it to skin on Invision Power Board 2.3. so if you could just let me know what you think about it that would be great.Thanks

no there was no error message it just gave me the tags that i put in the comment field when i submitted, it. i tryed using the center tag so in the comment fields i pu the following:

[center]this is a test to see if the bbcodes are working[/center]

and when it submitted the info, all i saw was what i put in the box center tags and all.

You could use fwrite for this, but I would not suggest writing directly to the php file. Instead write to a text file that the php file includes. That way if anybody finds your updater they won't be able to seriously damage your website.

how would i do that, as for the content managment softwares i'm trying to avoid thoses because for some reason they confusise the pastor of my church and it's going to be him updating the news section for the page while i take care of everything else.

good luck with it, i was going to make one but after a while of working on it i got stuck and just left it for now, and started working on another project. I would love to see what you come up with when it gets finished, are you plaing on releasing the code for it or are you going to keep it secret?

Hello, i'm not sure if this can be done with php or not but what i need is a way to make an php file that have an html form on it and it will take the info you put in to that form and write it to an existing php file, for example: if i have the file news.php and the file news_update.php. if you went to news_update.php you would get an form with a text area for you to write a new addition for the news.php file and when you hit submit it will add what you typed in the form to the file news.php. If this is going to be a big code or a hard one to make but some one thinks they can make it let me know either via post or pm and i can give some credits for the code. if some one knows of such a pre-exsting code that is free please post it.
