  1. Thanks for your CSS tutorial... I'm currently in the process of learning HTML and CSS. If you'd like to post more, you've certainly got an audience. If you know of any other good online tutorials, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks.
  2. As sad as I am to say it, Windows XP is probably the best gaming platform. I run linux exclusively, and it's difficult getting a lot of games running properly, since they're all designed for windows. If (when) linux has a larger share of the market, it'll be just as good (way better, actually), since games will be designed for linux machines as well.
  3. Thanks for the question... I'm starting to learn HTML and CSS so I can develop my own web page(s), and I'm going through something similar (or will be soon, anyway). This was helpful.
  4. I'm not sure how it would work, but they used something kind of like this in the Harry Potter books/movies. I think it was called a "lamplighter" (or something like that).
  5. Not too surprising though. There's likely quite a few mammals still undiscovered. A new species of ungulate (antelope, in this case) was discovered just a few years ago, and I bet it's way bigger than that rat. Indonesia has been one of the "busiest" places in the world for the discovery and description of just about all kinds of species (plants, invertebrates, vertebrates, etc) since it's relatively unknown (by scientists, anyway) and a great hotbed of biodiversity, since it's tropical and has a wide range of elevations, along with a lot of islands (which promote speciation, according to Dr. Darwin).
  6. The nice thing about the scientific method is that anyone can come up with testable ideas... but it's easy to refute certain ones. In this case, I've seen fossils in a "natural" (non-museum) environment myself, and I'm pretty sure no one physically put them there. Therefore, hypothesis refuted. Oh, and scientists that study fossil forms (including dinosaurs) would be paleontologists, not archaeologists. Archaeologists study ancient (and some modern) human civilizations.
  7. I've noticed Google seems to regularly update the images they post... the ones of my house are newer now than they were a year or two ago, reflecting changes in my neighborhood (construction, etc). I'm also glad that Google offers such nice support for Linux... no problem running it on my desktop box (Kubuntu).
