What Does Smoking Cause? its a bad idea to start
budgallant replied to scutari's topic in Health & Fitness
Smoking increases heart rate, but ironically causes feelings of relaxation! It also yellows hair if you've dyed it blond, so keep an eye out for that. And try not to get smoke in your eye... it really stings!I'd like to point out a couple of the benefits to smoking, though, such as popularity and shortened life span, because let's face it... this world sucks, anyway, so you might as well "light up". Oh, and you can be just like that favorite actor in that movie or tv show, looking all badass. -
Well, I've been in a long-distance relationship for nearly three years. It's going from long-distance to no-distance, thankfully! So, I guess I'm looking for something that I can cook for her as sort of a celebration of actually being able to cook something for her! If that makes any sense.

I am using Google Adsense, and I have only seen it pay per click, but I recall in the actual documentation for it, it saying something that led one to believe it could be either or. I've never seen any money accrue just for a display, though, so it's safe to say, that's not going to happen.I advise against any fraudulent manipulations, of the advertisements, as well. For one thing, you'd never make enough money by artificially boosting your click counts in this manner. You'd have to do it on such a large scale, that it would be clear what was happening, and your account would be suspended. To do it on a smaller scale and be more discreet, simply wouldn't be worth the trouble. Of course, I'd oppose any such manipulation on moral grounds, as well as the more pragmatic ones I've outlined above.Bottom line is, unless your site has a very large volumn of traffic, you won't really make money with the advertisements. It may help in getting google to index your web site, however, if it is yet to do so.Bud

I will be honest. I was given the book as a present, because I expressed an interest in it, after giving it to someone else as a present the year previous. For whatever reason, I just never got time to start the book. I did however see the movie. I thought it was terrible... badly put together, immature and a product of, at least, partial plagiarism.I found out the book was written when the author was 14... lost all interest in reading it, after I learned that.My girlfriend's brother really really enjoyed it, but he is a teenager, and I'm definitely not. Maybe I can give it a chance at some point... but after the movie, I think it'd be hard.Bud

My experience with astral projection was always within the context of visualization. In fact, in every esoteric society, I've ever explored, "astral projection" was always acting with "the body of light", not the physical body, and not on the physical plane.Essentially, a mental process, rather than a physical one.I know other people relate experiences which fall outside this catagory, and I am not invalidating them, but I think generally, the concept as it is taught in traditional orders, is much different than what is perceived to be the rule in modernity. I don't think it was intended to be so literal or physical.

Hi, everyone!I'd really appreciate some ideas on a relatively simple meal that I cna cook for someone special.I enjoy cooking steak, but would like to get ideas for a bit more variety.I'll be honest with you all, and tell you that I haven't cooked much for the alst few years, and usually eat out. But, I think there's something special about cooking something yourself for someone, and would like some thoughts on what I should try.Any suggestions are more than welcomed!

Canadian Shocked To Get $85,000 Phone Bill
budgallant replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Mobile Phones
I'm sure he was shocked and surprised to see the bill. Even if you are using a mobile phone for internet, that price is completely unreasonable.I had my own experiences with high cell phone bills, though they were on account of going over on my limited daytime minutes. Yet another example of greedy phone companies taking advantage of people. They charged me 20 cents a minute for calls that could have been free for hours with an extra $5 a month. I thought I had unlimitied evenings and weekends. It turns out I didn't. They were happy to sign me up for it, but wouldn't lower the charges. $1250 phone bill.Cell phones aren't a great choice for communication, in general, it seems.Luckily, when it comes to internet, I get unlimitied browsing for $10, which includes my call display, voicemail, and text messages.Different plans are good for different things. You really need to be careful, and know exactly what you're getting into. -
I think you can definitely make money with ebay, if you know what you're doing and research it well.People have and continue to make thousands a month with business running on ebay.Like any business, you need to establish a sound model to expect success. If you're going to simply buy low and resell higher, you need to find the resources available to make that realistic. It can be done. It takes time, and if you enjoy the trading systems in video games, why not set aside some cash, and try doing some trading on ebay. If nothing else, you should be able to breakeven and have fun, while you learn to increase your profit margin.Ebay is more of a pastime for most people than an actual full or part time job, but depending upon your strategy, it can work for you.

I've researched this, in the process of looking for work from home opportunities, and was warned that the survey sites are scams by numerous web sites. Of the most immediate concern are the ones that want you to pay a fee to take the surveys. It seems you find out that you will not qualify for any but a handful, and can not make anywhere near the money they claim.I've had no personal experience with Awsurveys.com, but I'd be very reluctant to get involved with it, until I heard a really impressive reports from someone who has used it, and has made money.... and enough to be worth all the hassle and trouble.

Runescape - A Great Mmorpg Massive Multiplayer Online Game
budgallant replied to runexchange's topic in Computer Gaming
I've tried runescape a couple times.I've had fun with it... truthfully, though, the free version is very limited, and the game, in general, jsut doesn't compare to other mmorpgs. If you want something similar but with better graphics, and gameplay, try Flyff. It's free, and it's a lot more compelling.Knight Online is also a fun free mmorpg. And, you can play Ultima Online on private shards for free. There are some really big ones out there. That will give you hours more entertainment than runescape is likely to.I'm not trying to bas runescape, just offering a few alternatives for those who enjoy the game, or for those who tried it, but didn't.I enjoyed runescape, but there's not a lot you can do with it unless you upgrade your account. -
I first heard of the secret through my girlfriend. She watched it with her family, at her uncle's instigation.I watched it myself online about a month later. We had broken up at the time, and there's something about breakups that can definitely lead to introspection.I believe in it completely. In fact, I think the ideas truly are quite ancient, and as a student of some more arcane pursuits, I was familiar with this message already. The difficult part with the secret is not so much understanding it or how it works, but actually remaining devoted to living by it. That's something that I still struggle with? and honestly, to me the secret remains an afterthought rather than a true way of life. I am convinced that if one really applied it, the results would be amazing. I hope one day, I can say I know that to be the case, through personal experience.

Why Do People Care About Gmail? i made my account first try
budgallant replied to GaMeRrEmAg's topic in The Internet
I'm also a fan of gmail, even though it managed to lose two months worth of my e-mails.That's a far cry from "never delete another e-mail again"... Although, I guess so if they're doing it for you!The space was the initial draw. And the elitist in me enjoyed getting in when it was invite only and people were literally spamming and begging for an invitation.I like the format. The conversation format, is nice. It's a clean interface. Generally reliable. The privacy policy is rather frightening, however, yet I take my chances, all the same.Plus having a gmail account makes using all of google's other services a lot easier and faster, such as orkut, google pages, froogle, etc.All in all, it's a good choice for free e-mail. I'm bitter about those deletions, and the fact there is seemingly no way to contact anyone from google about it to complain... if there is, I haven't found it. -
I would definitely wait for the after-Christmas price drop, if I were you. Far as I know, it's only the Microsoft games that are guaranteed to be compatible. My friend has a 360, a PS3, and a Wii. When I am over there, we bother very little with anything but the Xbox 360. It has the best games, and Xbox Live is, of course, amazing. If you can be patient, wait it out a while. You'll need patience, anyway, with that Xbox, if your experience is like so many others, and you have to send it back to them to repair. This has happened to 3 people I know, including my friend I mentioned. Hopefully the newer systems are more stable than they were when they first were released. My girlfriends brother sent his 360 off to get repaired. They were very good about it, and he got it back a lot faster than he expected. It stopped working again the next day. Still worth the investment, though. PS3 is overpriced and the game selection is just not up to par. Wii is fun, but the graphics are inferior, and the gameplay is annoying if you don't take the time to get used to it's crazy controls. Good luck!

Your Views On Spirituality Spiritual inner souls
budgallant replied to anwiii's topic in Health & Fitness
I think most paths lead to essentially the same place, but some get you there more effectively than others.I also think spirituality is intended to be an innately personal experience, and is supposed to mean different things to different people depending upon where they are at in life. -
Wow... I'm surprised at how many people seem to relate to this situation.I think if you truly love someone, you wouldn't justify the level of deception that is required to have two people on the go at one time. It seems to me that the motive for such a thing is not so much indecision, or desire, but dependency. One person who you love, and who loves you, should be more than enough as far as the relationship thing is concerned, in my opinion. If it isn't, I think you need to look inward, rather than outward, and start pursuing something other than the opposite sex. If you have multiple partners, each thinking they're the one, then one thing you have is too much time on your hands!Contemplating the fact that one poster on this forum has done this for years, really boggles the mind...It's encouraging to see they recognize it isn't fair... and it truly isn't.Each of those women deserve to be with someone to whom they are the only one.In this case, I really feel the best course is to focus on inward development. Before you can learn to evolve with another person, as your partner, you need to learn have to advance yourself.Bud
