  1. I use Firefox because of tabbed browsing; open source, which branches off into many other reasons; customizable toolbars; extensions; themes; straight-and-to-the-point options; about:config; it retrieves the site's icon during browsing, not just when you bookmark the site; and there's a bunch more, but I can't be bothered to list all Firefox's 31337 features

  2. I use Norton Antivirus 2004. I have no idea what you guys are talking about "resource hog" becuase I just checked and it's using less than 2mb or RAM, and less than 1% of my CPU (I only have a 1.2GHz processor). It scans slowly because it scans deeper. I agree it's inadequate at fixing problems, because it tells me where the file is and I can delete or quarenteen it myself. I tried Mcafee one time and I hated it. Different programs produce different results on different computers, so one antivirus definately doesn't fit all. I have a four way going on: Norton Antivirus 2005, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-aware Personal Edition, and ZoneAlarm Firewall. Three out of four of those are free (the exception being, of course, Norton). I can't give any suggestions because I know that an antivirus that works perfect for me, might not work for you / on your computer. I would try all the free ones until you find one you like. If you don't find one you like, then you have to make a decision to buy which ever commercial antivirus you think sounds the best. Also check the features on the antivirus's website.

  3. I'm not a newbie to more advanced tools and utilities, but I found an odd problem. I am using Firefox 1.0.3 (latest version as of this post) and I have a 384kb/s cable internet connection: loads the average page within a second. The Xisto server responds to my ping in an average of 70 seconds, but it seems to load extremely slowly like traffic-heavy sites that can't handle it respond. Xisto has loaded slowly since the day I came here. It's not that bad, but it does get quite annoying sometimes. So, what is going on with Xisto?

  4. I hope once they come out  they focus on making good games and not a new console it isn't fun to have to buy a new $200+ console every year.

The creators of the systems normally aren't the ones that "make" the games. Although, it is true that if a system is out longer, game designers are able to create games that can better utilize the system's capabilities.

I myself will buy a Playstation 3 a few months after it comes out just because I probably won't have enough money at release  I don't own a Gamecube or Xbox and I don't plan on purchasing either of them. I also don't plan on purchasing the Xbox 360 when it comes out.

  5. I still feel google should give webhosting.....

I second that. They would probably do their little invite dealio and it would probably be like half a year before I could get my hands on one though... still, though. And they would probably go out of control with like a gigabyte of storage... Google is just too good.

Yahoo! you are too late. Sorry.

These are the only words I would like to write here.

My exact thoughts when I first read this topic. Even after Yahoo's upgrade, they're STILL being doubled by Google's Gmail. And Gmail is counting up as we speak. 2099.5MB as of this moment. I also like Gmail's features much more than Yahoo's. There are no flash or image ads in Gmail, only Google's ultra-relevent AdSense ads, so they acually match the email you're getting. Archiving, searching, pop3 and smtp, etc.

P.S. Walla already had 1GB for as long as I've known about them now, and I've heard there are a few others.
