  1. Agreed anything microsoft sucks, It would be nice to have a mac looking Os from them. even better if they saw the error of their ways and wrote a *nix OS.
  2. Frontpage is the lowest of the low, I doesnt create valid XHTML, it adds it own HTML/JS when you dont want it to and half of the stuff it does could be achieved using Pure HTML/CSS.Your better off using Notepad than Frontpage, although I might aswell because I rarely touch Dreamweavers design view only to check it looks as it should.
  3. Yea looks good, think a shadow onto the background color would look good,It seems as if youve spent hours designing it and then Oh Crap! What about the menu. And i think it would look alot cleaner if the 2 header gradients matched up.views perfectly in FireFox 2 @ 1280x1024
  4. No experience personally but try running perl awstats_configure.pl if you can. Try googleing the error and see what you get I very often do it for PHP errors and get brilliant results.
  5. Virtual Pc can be downloaded from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you can use serveral different Operating systems, compatibilty can be found here: http://vpc.visualwin.com/ the only Xubuntu Distro Compatible is Version 6.06 http://vpc.visualwin.com/ Xubunutu 6.06 Can be found http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Another point if you need to use the root account a guide to changing the password can be found over at: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Just came in handy when installing apache.
  6. Ive had a little look a vista, doesnt run as slow as I though it would.Very prettyfied though.easy to use and network with Xp, might try networkin with a *nix based OS.My only gripe is the fact that you need to have account passwords to access shared folders.
  7. Just finished installing Xubutnu 6.06 Dapper Drake in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007., so I can have a linux Web Server.Xubuntu runs pretty well with 512mb ram out of my 1.5Gb and a 2.6Ghz Celeron.Took about 1.5hours to install and 2gb ish hard drive space.Pretty simple to do, download Dapper Drake ISO from the Xubuntu website and Virtual PC from Microsoft.Install virtual PC.Create a virual Pc, I recommend no less that 256mb ram allocated, create a virual hard drive ( about 5Gb, 2Gb minimum) click startCD at the top mount the dapper drake imagepress F4 i think it is and change it to 1024x768 16bitthen install with graphics safe mode. let it book into the live CDclick installenter the details and format the virtual Hd, dont worry it wont format the Xp drive like I though it might and let it install and have fun .
