HiIs it possible to receive an automatic confirmation of reception when one of us, a memeber of this FNH community, sends a message to cops@freenukehosting.com ?

Here's an idea for a script. No posts in [n] days, say 14, gets an email warning and puts the member on a warning list we can all see. If a buddy is on it, we have a chance to help them out - say if we know they'll be gone for a while but coming back etc. If no reply and no buddy helpout for [n] days, say 14 - maybe a 48 hr warning then - kicked.Another script should go along with this that you could extend the warning period for yourself for [n] days, say 14 so you could go for a month.The problem is here that 'Hi' would count as a post every [n] days to disable this system. It still takes peeps, like mods to overlook everything and make some judgement calls. Since we can all see each other's posts it's easy for members to notice what's going on too. :twisted: The main thing is to watch out, whatever we do that we are not trying to set up a new mini police state for a bulletin board. :shock: :shock:

That is not correct. Go to the main page and scroll down. You will see a lot of different forums and if what you're looking for, is not there you can raise the topic in the chit-chat forum. Thats a subjective opinion! A lov postcount means limited activity. Period! All accounts were lost. Many have lost their account twice during the past two months. This is a community. A community is all about participation, and still be a newbie after 4 weeks can hardly be construed as participation. It was for that reason. And you missed it all because you didn't partake. Topics are generally closed when finished or debated or answered elsewhere, which brings me to the conclusion: All the answers i have given here can be found elsewhere in the forums, but you obviously havent bothered looking. If you read thru, at least, the main section before you post again you will find a lot of your questions answered.

For sure Infraid. Maybe we should set up a Forum for those that get kicked for no posts and who show up all mad about it. The mods could move their posts there so we could go and get a good laugh once in a while.

Hi everybody As it is right now the category of a member is measured by the number of posts. ***censored***. Thus, some people, in order to climb in the ladder of member's category post a lot. This is to say that they do not work to help the community, they work for an indicator, the number of posts. Fortunately, FNH does not request a predefined number of posts to assign a Free Web Hosting. Which is very nice and a confirmation that , as many of you say, the number of posts does not tell anything. It could happen that a member post not as much as the average but when this person does it, posts a quality article. How do you measure quality in a post? There is no indicator, suitable for a computer, to represent quality. So a human should intervene. Which means someone should read the articles to evaluate the quality of them. At least the ones of people that post few. Is there another way to evaluate quality? ~ censored, could have lead to massive spams... ~ Infraid

Even if no post here are required to request a free hosting, we do ask you to post from time to time here to keep your account alive...It's pretty obvious that s/o who after several weeks only has 1 post or 2 (which are for requesting an account), is NOT active... :?

hey, hey, hey now. We got no post meter. Right now n00bs with 1 post are getting accepted. When the server starts filling up the weeding will need to start but everyone gets a chance to be an active part of the community and not get culled later on.Getting a topic closed is not the end of the world. That is part of the mod job. Peeps go off on a rant that is also well covered elsewhere - nobody's perfect, - that's still cool. Being helpful doesn't get closed. Sometimes asking for help that others need too can be a big help.N00bs sometimes ask the strangest things in the strangest ways, that is part of the learning. Everybody was a n00b once and everybody still is in their own way. A good community is about learning.This is a good debate about self-definition of the FNH community but remember a cool community is peeps, not scripts and numbers. Great posts, zzzz posts and spam are all part of it. This isn't a group of academic scientists sharing the data of their last research project to save the world (or kill it). We have Elder members and n00bs and all inbetween. The mods are very generous and you get the best help from members when you need it. Peeps also share the coolest stuff about what they're into. Spammers get slammed by members and mods but not too harshly. That's cool. Maybe they can learn.

I also read alot about the server crashes and ppl with bad content b4 many accounts were lost.. Mine was too.Then I saw a moderator telling another user that he's account was removed because he only has 5 posts... 2 before this topic...When I tried to clarify why mine was closed (may be for the same reason) He said u missed alot and server crashes.. etc and he closed the topic..What is it with you guys and closing the topics??? for me, I wont post anything if I am not able to reply to my own post and ask more..

Kubrick kicks asswas only in the last few days i saw Clockwork Orange which is bad since i'm a filmmaker myself but the cinemaography and editing was great.i didn't find it that disturbing but i guess the original cut was a lot worse
