earlier people were asking about using javascript to do resizing in accordance with their resolution. Talk about walking around the world to cross the street. Html utilizes a little concept called percentages. This also works in accordance to screen res. tables: < table width = 75% > that will resize it to 75% of IE or whatever browser is being used. Your browser determines its size from the res. so there ya go. have a good day all.

Well, lol, depends, what is a fortnight, I'm sorry I never learned(I heard that word though). -
I'm no expert at php, but i think i see the prob just change line 45 to:$dbh=mysql_connect ("$dbhost", "$dbuname", "$dbpass") or die ('I cannot connect to the database because: ' . mysql_error()); mysql_select_db ("$dbname"); for your user name you have only l33tg33k, you need l33tg33k_admin, i think you just typed it wrong even though under it you had it right. :wink:Since i changed the stuff for the variables and you have those right it should work.

No, but the admins recommend at least a couple of posts a fortnight. However, it may change when they catch up with the accounts creation. I don't think they will impose a set number of posts but maybe they will start looking at the regularity of visits or substance of posts. EditOops - I din't see you, meeko. You got in while I was writing. -

There isn't a set post count for one to post a day, week, month, ect. You are just asked to check in once or twice a week, and make some CONSTRUCTIVE posts. -
Most would choose Firefox. I do.

How do you make a 3 column with head and footer with css?
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
No he doesnt want 100% width, he wants 1200 in width. Your percentage values for the width are also wrong, the body is much wider than the side navigation. He wants 1800 altogether in height as well. Here is the code you put in your CSS file called "layout.css": #header { position:absolute; top:0; left:0; width:1200; height:200; border-style:solid; border-width:1; }#footer { position:absolute; top:1600; left:0; width:1200; height:200; border-style:solid; border-width:1; }#nav1 { position:absolute; top:200; left:0; width:200; height:1400; border-style:solid; border-width:1; }#nav2 { position:absolute; top:200; left:1000; width:200; height:1400; border-style:solid; border-width:1; }#body { position:absolute; top:200; left:200; width:800; height:1400; border-style:solid; border-width:1; } In your index.html, or home page, put this: <HTMl> <HEAD> <LINK rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="layout.css" title="default"> </HEAD> <BODY> <DIV id="header"> Stuff for Header </DIV> <DIV id="nav1"> Stuff for the left nav bar </DIV> <DIV id="body"> Stuff for the body </DIV> <DIV id="nav2"> Stuff for the right nac bar </DIV> <DIV id="footer"> Stuff for the footer </DIV> </BODY></HTML> Here is what this code looks like, as a test: http://forums.xisto.com/ I am assuming the header is 200 in height, please tell me what it should be. Any changes you want, just ask. Also I need height of the footer at the bottom. If you don't like the border then tell me. Or if you don't want to seperate files then say that. ^^ skyglow1 -
I'm still learning :? Also, here's another really good HTML site you should look at if you want to learn more: http://www.htmldog.com/
