I believe newsflash 0.2 is compatible with platinum.But just to be sure you could maybe ask in the techgfx phpnuke platinum support forum.If it is there's a security text file that comes with platinum which will show you how to apply the latest security patch to the module.

Then, what's the problem? There are lots of sites where ypu con download Php-nuke! And uploading it to ther server is the easiest I've ever done!

I've chosen 2nd variant. I think that Php-nuke is a perfect CMS, that gives plenty of abilities for admin! And more and more add-ons and modules appear and appear!

My choice is ONLY IPB! Now I'm using Ipb 1.3 Final, but I'm going to change it for 2.0.3!And PHPBB has too much bugs and too few functions!

And further more, I think that you should edit Conf-global.php (I really don't exactly know the name of this file in phpbb, but the meaning is like that) and rewrite there lines, connected with the site values (adress, base data etc.)

Thet's rather easy: tou should just edit some lines in block-modules.php and there will be a link to your own forum! And if you want to use blocks, that show Forum News or like that then ypu should also edit files of these blocks.

Plain and simple IE works the best i think!

Yaeh it has feature of all tree main boards which are VBulletin, IPB and phpBB put to gether into 1 whole board for free! I like it!Alot of people have change from phpBB to myBB when they tried it out etc.Also just recently there has been a security issue and that got sorted in like an 1 hour! So any security issuses will get sorted very quickly!MyBB is still young and is still being devolpeed with more and more features which are improved. A new version of MyBB will be available soon which is has a revamp in the design and style of it with all fixed bugs!I'm sure that myBB will be a popular discussion board in the future and may take over phpBB! But I dought it!I have gone to myBB as I want an IPB board and saw that had the same features as IPB but easier and free to use!I'm not saying to swith though as its upto you. I'm just advertising it!

Okay what errors do you get when you run the .sql file? As with my xperience with phpNuke it never backed up properly with the .sql file.Run the sql query file in phpMyAdmin and post error message you get here.

What type of Control Panel have you got on your server then? How do you manage your site?Have you made sure MySQL is available?Give more details
