Define It Consultant Requirements to become IT Consultant?
iGuest replied to arunkumarhg's topic in Software
Hey arunkumarhg,I use to work for New Zealand Computer Consultancy, not as a consultant but their Office Administrator, ironic don't you think?. There was about 16 staff, each having different specialisations, Networking, Software/E-Business, Databases and Programming. You needed to understand technical information systems as well as software application packages. Now the youngest consultant was 28 and he was still studying while working there, the oldest would have been around late 40s. Everyone seemed to have different qualifications, but they all had there Masters.I understand that entry level requires a Bachelors in Information Technology or Computer Science, although you probably would need your Masters and experience in the IT field (it would have to be quite some years) to actually secure this type of job. I would probably also recommend having MCSE or RHCE as it does touch on things you would need to know.I was only 18 at the time and only there for a year so I could go to University, the company had quite a reputation and was often the choice that government agency chose. They're still doing quite well and have expanded the company and have over 40 staff now, except last month I went to a funeral of one of the guys who I knew when I worked there. Not only was it worth working for them, you gain so much contacts and information, that you'd be able to start your own business with all that knowledge, but I still recommend University degrees. If you're considering this, working in the IT field will help with technical know how and you'll start seeing people asking you for your expert opinion, this is just the same as working as a consultant but not being highly paid as them.Cheers,MC -

Please don't diss DOS, I still like writing applications for it. Well portable console programs that should be able to run under any emulated terminal. I'm currently writing a large business accounting/retail software that supports over 150 multi-users, that has instant messaging and leaving notes, has a simple interface, mouse, function keys support, the whole works and will be faster than any Windows based similar type programs, well hopefully.DOS is so much faster than GUIs, I still don't know why you would consider frontends other than it'd probably be easier to use but so much slower, once you get comfortable on any program though, you'll be fast at using it and since I'm trying to keep close to how Windows programs operate, all shortcut key commands will be similar on my console programs.I wonder who could create a new folder in a specific location as well as name it, faster than I could in DOS or for my matter MinGW. There's also some specific DOS commands that might not be well documented that can show you the programs running on your computer, the programs that the programs are running as well. e.g. the 16bit Windows emulator shows NTVDM but doesn't show what program it's running, bring up dos, type tasklist /? and you'll have similar but more options over Task Mananger.I find that Windows running in Safe Mode is pretty stable does that count?Remember Bill Gates didn't think GUIs were going to be popular, he thought everyone would just like DOS, although he had no idea about how to go about it until he helped Apple and while there, learnt about their GUI.MC

I suppose. That's up to you. Those languages does not require any server side handling. It's handled in the recipients browser.

why dont you just use something like Paint Shop Pro or Adobe PhotoShop to resize the pic a certain % than the original? Or you can cut off some edges of the pic that may be unnecessary, instead of making it any smaller. you can even do both methods to lessen the "destruction" of your avatar

I think you are totally right with that ps2= variety games xbox= more of online and action gamecube= younger kids/family and then it depends what you can use most, what interests you the most. For me that's PS2, because of that variety of games (GTA, DBZ Budokai, Tekken, ...)And you can never say what's really the best because they have three different 'good points'.

Hero was made as Ying xiong by director Yimou Zhang. Quentin Tarantino directed Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2. When Quentin saw Ying xiong he thought it was great but he found out it wasn't going to be distributed out west so he piled all this money into it and backed it big time to get it happening over seas away from where it was first being released. So there you go, not directed by the same person... and completely seperate films except for Tarantino's involvement in getting Ying xiong moved over to elsewhere.
