How To Remove the cute.pif Virus From Your Computer Here is my simple guide on how to remove the virus from your PC, also I have included a short overview of the virus itself. Overview *Once you have the virus, it will send the following message to all of your contacts. "omg this is funny! (Here would be a link to the the cute.pif file)" *Once they download the file, it will then send the same message as above to everyone on their contact list. It will also download a worm, called 'W32.Spybot" onto their PC (If you are sending the message above, you may have the worm on your PC to). *On rare occassions, the program will not download the worm, it will just send the message and file onto your contacts. However, I suggest you act as if you do have the worm. How To Remove The Virus & Worm > Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and look for hotkeysvc. If it's there select it and click on "End Task". > Use Windows' Search function to locate a file called "hotkeysvc.exe". (Note, there may be a variations on the name, e.g. you may find a file called hotkeysvc********* where * = random characters. This is the same file!) If you find the file delete it (Hold 'Shift' and push 'Delete'. > Click 'Start' then 'Run' and type 'msconfig' in the box. A new screen will pop up. Click on the tab at the top that says 'Startup'. Search for (it may not be there) the hotkeysvc file or variation of the file name. If you find it there, untick the box next to it. This will remove the virus and worm from your computer. That is a well tremplate design StonedDevil if i may say so myself. For the banner hmmm lil tricky, i would suggest nothing to fancy, maybe something that goes along with the logo. I will try and think of something and get back to this post later on.

Yeah, many people have took my posts the wrong way about this problem, as if i was trying ot give FNH (FreeNukeHosting) a bad name, that is not what i'm trying to do, i'm just simply pointing out the fact that i have payed and that i should deserve better service.Thank you StonedDevil for your help in this, it is very much appreciated.

ok if you read my post all the way through you would have seen something in there http://forums.xisto.com/ Cpanel is the only way, other than phpmyadmin to access your mysql databases, BUT Apache server has to be running and working. Since the current problem is that apache isnt working, then it would seem logical that you could access these files right? Well you might be thinking, what about ftp? Well heres the answer, no, the ftp account allows you to access files at a certain level, if you notice you cant go any farther down the chain then the folder containt the public_html and public_ftp folders. The mysql databases are stored in a diffrent area all together. They are located in the apahce server folder, in a certain section, THAT YOU CANT ACCESS THROUGH FTP like i said in that post, sorry no one can acess there mysql, and im trying to figure a way out to fix this so i can tell admin so he can fix it giving everyone the opportunity to get there databases, and without access to apache, this will take me alot longer.

let me just add something to this thread. To access cpanel use this http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ But there's one thing. I don't think anyone can bkup there DB cause there's no DB to backup.

ok well then ill make sure ur account gets creadted. the 30 second thing is beacuse of a script admin just recently added that auto-sets up accounts. u signed up before this was implemented. So admin might have not seen ur e-mail, its called signing up at a bad time, happened to me the first time i tried, now ive got paid hosting and love it so much :mrgreen:

Well I'm pleased with my reseller hosting so far - the uptimes been good but I think admin should take more attention to this issue > its only him who will suffer because of it (well you too ). Good luck with this, sorry to hear it though.

Thank you Windborn and Torn for making me not feel that i was just exaggerating the issue. Yes i am disappointed and i think i have every right to be in this case. If it have been 1 week i would not have mind but it is passing the 2 week mark (14 days) and i have got NO emails to what is going on.No Suggestions from anyone?I very disappointed Dago~

Are you trying to backup your database(s)? Heres how you can do it: Pick the DB you want to backup and download it If this isnt what youre trying to do - DAMN!
