  5. Get ready to say 'I do' to R2-D2, because robots are going to be the perfect marriage material.
A British scientist claims humans and cyborgs will tie the knot in the not too distant future.

Artificial intelligence researcher David Levy was awarded a PhD today by a Dutch university for his thesis, Intimate Relationships With Artificial Partners.

He believes marriages to robots will become common.

The thesis examines changing attitudes towards the meaning of marriage and the development of robotics.

He says in the past that people only showed affection for other humans, but that this has now expanded to include pets and even robotic dogs.

This trend will eventually lead to humans loving sophisticated robots, Mr Levy argues.

He also claimed attitudes to different sexual practices had become more liberal. He was awarded his PhD at the University of Maastricht.

What you think about this really interesting thing? :P
For me it is really stupid :D Who will marry robot who have no money and don't know nothing ? B) No one..Scientists are just stupid men who haven't what do do and they thinking about bullsh*ts :P .. Who will have sex with robot if he or she can have sex with normal people? B) If I just don't understand story then sorry.. But if this is only have robot like pet then it can be normal but marry robot is really stupid thing B)

  6. Looking for some MAP wisdom here on this question:

When have you really mastered a technique?

Do you feel like you have mastered a kick when you can perform it with power and speed? Do you feel like you have mastered a kick when you can see it coming and block it? Do you feel like you have mastered a kick when you can teach it to someone else?

I am just looking for guidance as it seems in my TKD training; you have mastered a kick when you can perform it with power and speed. The aspect of blocking the kick and being able to teach it to others seems to not be very important.

By comparison, I just started taking BJJ once a week for 30 mins, and the first thing we learn is how to stop a technique, then how to perform it. I always feel like I can perform the technique, block the technique, and teach the technique after each lesson.

  7. Windows Vista just isn't quite ready for a lot of business users just yet. There's a lot of industry specific software that gets broken by it. I know of a number of large format software RIP applications where that is a fact. I have even heard of issues regarding Adobe's own applications, such as problems with Acrobat.Vista is even turning out to be problematic on home computers running a lot of different games. It seems the games run a lot faster under XP.I'm also wondering if Windows Vista will allow the old Adobe Type Manager 4.1 program to run. I have a number of old Type 1 Multiple Master fonts that I still like to use. But you can't install them straight into Window's own font manager. One more thing -get the standard 32-bit version of WinXP. Avoid the 64-bit version. None of Adobe's applications are compiled in 64-bit word lengths at this point. And 64-bit breaks some functions.Reply With Quote
