The Best Media Player Which is your best media player?
ramandhingra replied to finaldesign's topic in Software
nero media player.. for audio.. man, dont kno how do they manage such voice quality.. love them..and bs player.. for videos.. but the video clarity isnt much.. though, its really user friendly.. like, i can use arrow keys to traverse the movie.. and up down keys for volume.. and yes, just press D to make the movie run on the desktop.!! user friendliness.. bs player.. it rocks.. -
ohh ji.. am toh total anti-piracy guy.. and really, cant afford to spend money on softwares.. so, i use all the free softwares.. avast was once my fav.. but now, NO.. i takes up a lot of memory.. so, avg is the way to go.. and yeah, i use windows defender + spyware-search and destroy..

u should bother learning css..1. if you are already working into an organization and your job profile isnt anything similar to a web designer..2. if you are a web designer and you just wanna be a silly web designer.. (no offence intended)..and if u r not into an organization and juz working on some stuff yourself.. you will get to learn css urself.. dont allot a separate time for css.. juz start with w3cschools.com.. and keep refering internet wheneva u need new things to be added to your demo website.. i mean, thats the way i do things..

One of the easiest resource (though not the best) available is on w3schools.com.. but, as you said your internet connection isnt that reliable.. i suggest that you download this book.. http://www.ebooksclub.org/?link=Ji3CmT Its titled 'How to do everything with html'.. if you are planning to buy a book, which i suggest you should coz.. offline stuff really help when you are serious about something.. and anyway, it gives a feel.. coz, u wud have to invest money.. so, the book's name is.. 'Head First Html and Css' (O'Reilly Publications).. All the Best Man..

I didnt get what you are actually asking for. And maybe.. thats the case with others and thats y u havent got a reply till yet.. Juz write the thing you want to achieve.. Plenty will write back the code and will be more than happy to explain it.

Sicne you are already into a sever side language - PHP.. it would not be wise to learn java first..and anyway, there would be times when you actually have to handle the ajax code no matter what tool you are using.. be it GWT or anything.. so, its better to learn javascript and ajax..and start creating your own miracles.. without the use of any tool..so, man.. juz do it.. (Nike.. please dont sue me for using it).. hehe..

unys.. to start with.. let me tell you.. there's NO link between java and javascript..except that the syntax is a bit similar..and there r two ways to go.. webCoder or webDesigner.. like this page is designed by a webDesigner.. whenevr, we click 'FastREPLY'.. the dialog box get opens on the same page, this is known as client side coding.. and is a JavaScript Effect.. but,, when we click 'Add Reply' after submitting our reply.. the Server Side Code comes to Life.. It puts this reply in a database or xml file.. this is real java..so, choose first.though, its really your choice and your interest.. i recommend you go for WebCoding.. so, reply.. and there are many people around here who will suggest you best books than anyone else..

yes, xml is the future over databases.. but as of now, it wont be a good choice to replace it over mysql databases..1. xml requires a lot of computing power coz its just an inbuilt Stream Handling Technique.2. There isnt a much helping query language for xml. You have to jump from node to node.. Though, Xquery is advcaning.3. You can edit databases much easily with SQL.But, if you opt for xml now.. your program would be future secured..!! Trust me.. Xml is the next big thing.Just see.. even in MS Office 2007, they have added xml formats to save ppt, doc files..Who knows.. the day isnt far.. when there would be a totally XML based OS.. :-)..

i was shocked and amazed when i read this.. and maybe.. you wud react the same way.. it may sound absurd.. but its true.. javascript cant email a form data.. yeah man, u read it right.. here's the article.. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

if u can compromise using php over jsp.. then, u better go for asp.. coz, in asp.. xml is built into from the beginning.. all the responses in asp(.net) are xml responses..
-
using java applets is no doubt the best option out there.. but, u people might already be aware.. that its SLOW..a chat should be fast.. client should not be kept waiting for a long time..i recommend.. you use ajax along with jsp.. though, ajax wont work if javascript is disabled.. but, its a rarity these days..and if you want a more permanent solution.. its Adobe Flex.. and its the best option out there.. you can check a client based on flex at webmessenger.yahoo.com and a cleint based on ajax at meebo.com..

though.. personally, i think jsp has it all and believe it to be the best.. coz of its JSTL feature.. which really enables to create a solid line between the webcoders and webdesigners.. but.. it isnt true.. coz, the world loves asp..just goto google and search for.. filetype:jsp and then for.. filetype:asp..shocking but true.. :-(..
